well the cruiser looks to be a good deal, but getting it shipped down from NY to here is causing some issues, I can't find any shipping qoutes better than 700 bucks.

Anyone want to volunteer a truck and trailor, we'll throw in some good 62 parts and an oil change :cheers:
 
i figured we had at least that many last time this was brought up. It depends on where $ is for me when it comes around. I have almost decided that my cruiser is going to be my offroading rig. So I am about to just live with the rust somewhat. Again, it is an added bonus that m y new job is about 1/2 mile from my house comepaired to 15-20 miles @ my old job! So the cruiser is definately taking it easy. I think it actually misses doing 65-70 mph everyday :)

Still no 40 in your posession? Must be waiting on gas to get to $3 a gallon. :) j/k i tried to tell you, but hopefully it will work out for you!!
 
I don't know what the freakin deal is with this guy in Indiana. I'm glad i didn't send him the deposit yet, because with the way he is not talking to me, i'm thinking the deal is off. So as of now, no 40 for me in the near future :crybaby: . I don't know what i'm going to do, I guess i'll just work on the 62 until a 40 or maybe a 55 pops up around here that I can afford. Thats for the best anyway, I have a ton of plans for the 62 and having two cruisers would make a major drain on the wallet and just push projects for the 62 futher into the future. Not that i make alot of money in the first place. well, back to work I go......
 
Matt you want to buy that parts 55 with me instead of the 40. Let me take the couple things I wanted and then you can drop a cheap ebay engine in it and chop and bob it. Would make a sweet trail rig and we could both get what we want for like 150 each. I had to postpone getting it due to money and scheduling conflicts this weekend.

I want to see how this long Island 62 works out for me. If Jp can score it, I'll be kinda low on cash for at least another month. But if things fall though, which I hope they don't, then yeah, I'll split the parts pig with you and make it into somthing like this beast. :D

It's not looking good guys, shipping is outragous, the best I have so far is still 740...... been as high as 1400, Oh I am feeling a road trip 62 style, I hink my cruiser could make. To about the NC statline :rolleyes:
 
Hey Matt I might have a goof used 2f that you could drop in that pig. JP has me all worried about cost of rebuild of the 3fe. LOL BUt It is comming. Ands when I get some cash to do a rebuild and drop it in I'll sell my 2f to ya. It's a strong motor.
 
Virgo someone called a quoted 700 even yesterday I have their number in the caller ID.
Matt that is one of the elite pigs in the forum man it would take you a good while and some $$$$$ to get it to that caliber.
 
rudy get the number if you can, we need something around 600 to make it happen though, unless someone wants to throw in 200 for a 88 splitcase t-case marshall?? that'd be perfect behind that 3FE.......
 
Check that, just got a qoute for 620 shipped........ cha-ching. That would put the total at 1020 shipped to clemmings town. I got to see if chuck can get the money, but otherwise I say we are good to go........oh and I just have to convice the guy to sell it to me :rolleyes:

but atleast we have reasonable shipping now!!!!!!!
 
well I'm not makin any promises at this point. I have a meeting with the adjuster on friday to see what is gonna happen. So I won't know anything till then at the earliest. So if you need it now then you might wanna talk to 89rule to see if he wants in on it.

Well with me you and matt we have $650 we still need another $350 :censor: ........ oh well doesn't look like this gonna happen :crybaby: unless someone wants some axles/transfercase/tranny and will split the cost with us :bounce: :bounce2:
 
Well, we never got the money together, so it just died out.............. if you are intrested I can give you the guys info who has the 62 forsale. He only wanted 400 dollars for it.

I know Matt, and Richard might still want to get in on it, but I have already blown the money I was going to use for the 62 on my 40.........:rolleyes:
