Finished parts washer detail earlier tonight. The fun part begins tomorrow. Only have to wear gloves when applying the grease :).

@CaptClose can verify that @CenTXFJ60 plays a mean breaking bad character. Dialing @CaptClose. In addition to Cafe Dumont. He is the most unassuming man alive.

Ha. Good stuff. My local H‑E‑B discontinued it. Have to start ordering it on Amazon :).
Nothing like getting it from the cafe in New Orleans.

Yeah but it sucks to work on your Cruiser on Decatur St.
Sucks working on the cruiser on any street! I did my transmission, both axles, suspension, and cooling system on the street. It wasn’t Decatur St, but I wouldn’t want to mark that one off my list.

Probably spent way too much time trying to rehab these hubs yesterday. Just too curious and wanted to see if I could figure them out. Both came apart when removed the other day. One had the metal collar (holding the springs) bent up pretty bad. Straightened it but it would not work properly. After several attempts I swapped the innards from another one that was damaged on the dial side. All good now. TRE’s and rear brakes today.

TRE’a and drivers rear brake done. The rear brakes were almost new but due to so many years of non use I broke everything down including the bell-crank. Cleaned and installed new pads and cylinder. And I mounted the trailer hitch (need to drill a hole in the frame for the third bolt) which came off our original 60 my father in law gave me in 2006. And I mounted the spare tire carrier.

I’ve worked on it a bit this week. Buttoned up the underside except for putting the front sway bar on and driveshafts. The rear needs a new u-joint. Ordered some and will take it in to a place I use in SA. Would do it myself it was for my cruiser. Minimizing any potential shimmy’s or vibration since this truck is going to the mother of my boys. Want them to balance it as well. Also ordered a new clutch master and slave. Did the front crank seal and the lifter cover gasket. New thermostat etc. cleaning out the corrosion in the top of thermostat I punched right through the metal. Grabbed a good one from the tote and moved on. Was a bear getting the crank bolt off. Soaked it with Kroil (great stuff) and used an extra long pipe and she came off. Ordered a new water pump and a few more hoses. Should be here soon. Valve cover is next. Thanks for watching along :). Oh…and new thermostat bolts courtesy of ma man Matt @ToyotaMatt

Slowly picking away while I wait on a water pump to come in. Received the fender skirts from J @TRAIL TAILOR (very nice shirt as well). Put the 70 series visors on. And pulled it out into the daylight for the first time in a while. Had the fortune of @BigHighBlue hanging in the barn for the day so we could do some maintenance on his 60. And drink some beer and grab an incredible burger from down the road. Ben tore that burger up :).
