P-Brake upgrade on H55/Split case

We are looking hard for a alternative to the 450.00 dollar versions offered by SOR and MAF.

Any information on a upgrade would be welcomed.

Park break

I see that downey.com sells rear disc calipers with a built in park break. They are $438 but it might be cheaper to go that way if you are doing both conversions at the same time.

For that kind of money, you can almost buy a rear 40 or 70 FF axle with parking brakes.

I used the caliper and rotor from All-Pro's mini t-case p-brake kit.I made the bracket and modified the stock cable.I can't remember $$$ but I think it was less than $200.00.You could probably source that caliper out from the original mfg for extra savings and have someone locally laser cut the rotor.

Nope- plus my t-case is not in the stock "tunnel" area.I did stretch the tunnel but not cuz the rotor.The caliper/bracket ,in my application, is on the top, a 3/8" skid plate protects the rotor on the bottom.

Pics aren't great but you get the idea?It works well.When I have it apart this week(to fix oil leaks) I will gusset the brackets for the caliper and the cable fixed point.

I think I had to use a die grinder to remove a hair on the id of the rotor for it to fit.The dust shield has to come off first, then re-installed.The DS bolt pattern was for a mini so I just drilled new ones.
No specs. I just made a plate that used as many t-case bolts as possible with a arm for cable pivot and "L" for caliper mounting.
I will post better pics when I have it apart.

Line locks work great.
Most Sponsored (TLCA) Trail Rides require a mechanical p-brake though.
I also like the fact that I can apply as much p-brake as needed.
