I think it is a position on a soccer team..........

Nope, I was told that was some kind of trailers that are always behind a tow truck.

When I grew up this was a rover: we called them Jam Butties after a biscuit with a layer of Jam in the middle

@cboyd and I will be there. I think Chris is going to go in Thursday night, I'll be there Friday.

kinda late to the party but kicking around taking one or both of the boys to this. Will hit you guys up this weekend for info and suggestions.

We have looked at all options and I think we are going to do this:

1. Wife purchased tickets to Pisgah BC concert - so we are doing that THU night
2. Staying in Black Mtn at B&B THU and FRI nights
3. Attend the OE East Friday (just day pass this year)
4. Head home Saturday

On #4 - we would love to make our way home via some trails or fun scenic routes. If anyone has any ideas on cool light off-roading or other routes (historic stops, fun places to go, etc) between Asheville and Raleigh - would love to hear them :)

Was thinking about hitting Olde Hickory or Foothills Brewery on the way home, too.

We could link up with club members Friday.

Seamus and Aaron will be there. I know Seamus was pretty stoked to see your boy again, however briefly, at the Big Creek run.

Yeah Tillman and Cole felt the same way. What are your plans for this trip?
I'm looking to bust out of ILM Thursday morning to get there at 2:00 ish (I have the wife so this may be more like 5:00ish). Gates open at noon I'm hoping to get there early enough to snag a decent area. Sarah and I have classes alternately through Fri,Sat, and Sun am. We'll pack it in and head out probably after lunch Sunday.

I asked the organizers about group, thought maybe 20 between The Carolinas and other places that would join. Here is the answer, I can commit to be there by 11, will need a headcount, thanks all.

"Hi Izzy,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. That’s a lot of people! We have a list started for large group camping. The group needs to designate one person as liaison to arrive first and send us their name and mobile number. They should arrive early (11 am Thursday) to find the spot since we are putting all the groups in one area. Then the members will need to coordinate via mobile with their liaison when they arrive to find the group camp.
Cheers,

Alison DeLapp | Office: +1-877-393-2230x1"

I'm going to try to make it up, at least for the day on Saturday, hopefully in my 40 this time. Depends on if I get the shocks swapped out in time.

Back on page 2 of the thread I had counted up 9 in the thread who had made some level of commit. @Izzyandsue do you want to edit the first post with a list of names of the committed?

Updated, if others are coming, let me know here or email directly to izzyandsue@yahoo.com, hope we have a big group for those who are interested in overlanding!

Getting my crap together for this coming weekend, can't wait to see all the Unimogs and other cool rigs. Got my kitchen gizmo today (thanks Scott!).

Anyone else decides to go, let me know. I am thinking of hitting Hurricane creek road in the morning, then head to Taylor Ranch in the PM

We are likely in the Prius V for this weekend due to the wobble in the front of the 4runner. Would love to meet up for the Hurricane Creek trip, but I would have to get the 4Runner ready prior.

Ugh, has anyone looked at the forecast. Considering not going - 4" of rain. Any thoughts?

"Embracing the suck" will be the weekend motto

My wife has been sending me Asheville VRBO listings all day.
