^^That is an ecamper. Was one at the Thai place we went to, as well, in Orange. Pretty cool popup. They stopped customizing them for a couple years, but do them again now.

Yes we owned two Elements and wanted to do an ecamper on the second one . . . ;(

Here you go Mr. Vee, more on them. The efalia is a sticker owner Nick put on. Nice couple from Asheville, drove the element from St. Barbara to Asheville last year, took a month on road doing mountain biking. The rear is an REI canopy, the side a tarp, propane fire pit next to it. Nick is a Southwest Airlines flight attendant from Oregon, wife Sarah is a Sustainable Development Planner. I can get you his card, we did talk for a bit under that tarp.

Nick is starting a Busines customizing the interiors Elements for overland travel, all are prototypes but he is very creative, some pretty cool kitchens that come out, bed system, drawers, etc. Obviously not trail rig, but otherwise very livable. He could not leave, the road was too muddy and deep so they have to bring a second car. I was going to ask him if he was thinking about Honda Pilots too but forgot. The photos of the inside of the Element are too dark, sorry about that.

I really like their idea of the propane firepit under the tarp, nice place to talk at night.

In the vendor area had to find Steve (Southeast Overland) of course, and buy some stuff. Got a new arb recovery bag to get much better organized, 30ft arb strap and green pin shackle all to upgrade my Chinese no brand crap. Thanks Steve! Good to see you doing good business even in s***ty weather.

The other cool vendor for me was Oztent, these things are wicked tents. Google them and you will see how it all works, expensive though.

I loved my Elements, but I still got about 20 MPG with them. Yes the come in AWD and have a little more "head room," but not sure why a 4Runner would be a "worse" vehicle for a pop-up. I got 19 MPG last fill up.

Is it that the tops on those Elements are the same as Vanagon Campers . . .I can't remember the details.

ewww a Honda

got almost 20 in the burban last fill up

I think the same company that made the awd Astro van conversions now does the elements
