wow that looks so much easier on a 60 than a 70, just did mine....wasnt fun

Tidying up the last of the remaining things to do here. Namely, installing the jack mount in the rear quarter and the jack, putting the quarter panel covers in place, and replacing all the lug nuts with new units. I have left one of the issues for last and that is, my t case won't shift via switch to 4wd. Now I know of @Spook50 's writeup, but before I do anything like that, I figured I'd do some diagnosting.to try and retain everything factory. Here is what I found when depressing 4wd button.
1. Relay clicks.
2. Got voltage at the solenoid connector.
3. When I operate the switch I can feel vacuum to the nipple leading to the tcase, on the solenoids themselves, depending on whether the switch is depressed or not.
I rebuilt the tcase and made sure the diaphragm was good by sucking on the tubes of the vacuum actuator unit saurcerer device. It shifted perfectly fine.
My question to you fellas is how much vacuum is actually needed to move the diaphragm? My truck is diesel, and as some of you may know, the vacuum is supplied by the pump on the back of the alternator. The suction on the hose feels rather weak, but still, even if it took longer to build enough vacuum, shouldn't the diaphragm eventually move?
I'm gonna check for leaks next, but I was wondering, for those with 62 trucks, how much suction is there at the solenoid valves?
Any help is apreesh.

Switches are for bitches :(

No chance of a manual conversion at this point?

Truck's going on BAT soon.
Sad as this may be, I am going to try and sell it once. If it doesn't reach my reserve, it'll stay.
I guess deep down, I just want a piece of s*** in need of constant work, lol

Truck's on BAT. Lots of pics if yall think I skimped on posting more on here.

So none of the 60’s are meeting reserve on BAT nowadays, including mine. I may still sell if I get the right price for it. As of now, I have been driving it and it’s pretty darn good. Perhaps it’s a sign that I should just keep it. I am heavily leaning towards that.

Sorry you didn’t get reserve, looks like it went north of 28, what was reserve?
