Two more things to add to your list. Hella h4 headlight conversion kit, and a new headlight harness from ipf. I got my headlight kit on amazon for 100.00, and the harness from low range offroad for 85.00.

Holy cow it makes a huge difference!!! and best of all, it looks bone stock.

Great, sounds sweet. I'm sure my wife will be glad you brought that to my attention. Lol

I did the headlight conversion on my Hilux. Huge improvement over stock lighting. It's already helped me avoid a few deer this year that I might not have seen otherwise.

Is the upgrade waterproof for water crossings, ect?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! -Daniel & Family

The conversion harness is just as waterproof as the stock wiring. It uses a relay that's triggered by the stock wiring harness headlight plug. The stock wiring routes the power to the headlights over a long stretch of lighter gauge wire causing excessive voltage drop. The upgraded harness uses heavy gauge wire and much shorter length powered directly from the battery through a relay. It allows you to use more powerful headlight bulbs where the stock wiring can't support higher current.

It's a simple process to install. Usually takes less than an hour if you don't have to deal with rusty headlight bucket screws.

^^^ Good, thanks!

Got the best present from my wife for Pepe!

An awesome ATC ultimate tool bag. This thing is absolutely awesome and I'm gonna put it through the ringers!

Awesome score for Pepe.:santa: Love the train around the tree. Didnt get to put our train set up this year. I would vary ours from some older HO equipment and some newer On30 stuff. Both use HO track. Many moons ago, I built a Christmas diorama for our entertainment center. Was a fully sceniced winter scene, with snow, had the town lit up, with roads, street lights, people, details, cars, etc. Had a bunch of trees, rock walls, with about 6 feet of track along a grade down the front of the scene. The rock wall looked like it had been blasted for the train I had powered most of that to light up the detailed heavyweight NYC passenger car set, but kept the locomotive section dead. Wish I had a digital cam back then.

As said above, the harness is just as waterproof as the stock one. The hella buckets come with a dust cover that will do an OK job of sealing out most water. I dont intend on having water up to the headlights, so I wont be able to tell you about them being waterproof.:D

The longest part of my install was to get my new harness tucked up under the rad support with the factory harness. I had to loosen up the 4 rad mount bolts, and loosen the air intake shroud on the drivers side. I sealed that factory connector (not used with the new harness) in a ziplock bag, and tie wrapped it. Follow the instructions in the harness kit, and you should be done in a couple hours tops.

Merry Christmas!!!

^^^ Sounds amazing! Just built the foam base this year for our train. Me and the boy are going to fix it up a little every year.

I'll likely never go that deep in the water either. The stock lights are the worst so defiantly need an upgrade! Thanks!

Did you buy any body parts from that showcars-bodyparts.com site? Prices look good.
Not yet, because I'm considering robbing from my other '87 first. Still undecided. Everything got put on hold for Holidays and we've been working on a property deal in Honduras where we would actually live and put in a hotel at some point.

Bumpers are scheduled to be delivered Wed. and the soft top to ship out tomorrow. Lots to do!

What bumpers did you end up ordering? I'm still trying to figure out how I want to setup the tire carrier on my truck.

I went with http://www.bluelakeoffroad.com. I'm not giving my recommendation on them until I get the parts and weld them together. I have mixed feelings on them right now. I'll keep you posted!

Bumpers finally arrived! More pics to come.

Well first impressions good on the bumpers, then I saw several frustrating mess ups.

The blinker cuts outs they did for me look pretty oversized and the plasma cuts are uneven and look hand done. Really disappointed there. The rear bumper has a 7 prong trailer plug hole cut in it even though I specifically asked for there not to be one.

There is no instructions so I'm hoping they have something or I'm gonna be winging it. Other than that I'm pleased to see that that everything seems stout.

The parts say 86 4R and mines a 87, so hoping that's not an issue. The winch section is also designed for a synthetic rope, but the pics showed steel cable setup. So guess I may have to change that out, joy.

The pricing wasn't outrageous, but not cheap either so I expected better. Oh well, yet another vender to disappoint me I guess.

Well that sucks. From your previous posts and the percieved skepticism about the company, I am guessing that calling and or emailing them with the hopes of some resolution is slim. Guess the only thing you can do is exactly what you have, and that is pass along the information and let the rest of the community pass along the bad press. Hopefully they will go together well and you will be pleased with them.

Keep us posted.

I called them, but I'm hoping to get some instructions at least. I doubt I'd get any other resolution. Life goes on. :)

Talked to them and they said they don't have any instructions, but they will email me some pics for reference. FUN.... :D
