What do they use for a back window? Searching thru the forums, it looks like it is either a soft window, or you use the factory window, but no close up details of the fit or seal on either. Did you get the HD or standard frame?

Hope springs eternal that Can-Back will eventually get their act together, but gotta have a soft top contingency in the works when the time comes I actually need one:grinpimp:

It uses the OEM window. Yes I got the HD frame. There's some some issues, but I've got the third one made. Hoping to hear from the owner today.

Cool. Let me know how that works with the factory window, that is the likely route I plan to go.

My two concerns would be how good the seal is for keeping water and exhaust fumes out, and having the stock window extended un-supported.

Nice progress with the rig:cheers:

EDIT: Gonna keep the hard top, found a place to store it.

Free top to whoever wants it, not including wiper motor assembly.

Fireman can have the trim if he still wants otherwise I'll keep that too. :D

Any update on that rear bumper? I recently got rear ended and my insurance gave me a pretty good quote for a rear bumper. I was hoping for a rear swingout, but it looks like there are almost zero options out there besides Blue Lake. I have heard bad things about the company and it looks like they aren't being too helpful for you either.

Stay away from Blue Lake, worst service EVER!!! Other things had to take priority since it's become a puzzle game.

That is what I had heard previously which was strongly leading me away from them. 4x4 Labs has a really nice rear bumper, but I am not sure if it is in the budget or whether I would have the time to weld it up for a while.

Have you looked at Addicted Offroad?

Edit: no first gen plate bumper with swing away...sorry.

Yeah, I love their 3rd gen rear tube bumper, but they don't make one for 1st gens. If they made one for 1st gens, I would be tempted to get it and just modify it to add a swing away down the road. I am looking at 4x4 labs, but they are pricy. Sorry for the hijack, hoping you are able to get your puzzle figured out and end up with a nice functional bumper, despite having to deal with their customer service.

I'm confident it will look pretty awesome, but not without some heavy modding. I'm also going to build a swing out on it.

Update: Not much to report. Still waiting on replacement parts for our soft top. If they work out the kinks this setup will be phenomenal. Bumpers still sitting on garage floor. Been pretty busy with life so no real progress. :(

Real time help please...

Changing knock, O2 & Temp sensor. Manual calls for sealer on water temp and AutoZone says NO. Thoughts or any recommendations on any of the three. Thanks!!
