Considering selling the Tundra (2005, 170K) and going for a 2nd Gen Access Cab TRD Off Road Tacoma. Tired of the wide turning radius and long body. Kid is off to college so don't NEED the double cab anymore. Would prefer a smaller stock Tacoma for back and forth to work

All said - Pearl is a wonderful truck. Rides like a 70s Cadillac and is capable off road. 37" of rear leg room, etc.

I can remove stuff from her as needed if you have interest.

Has to keep the sliders (welded on). I can possibly swap tires/wheels, remove dual battery stuff, etc.

Build thread is below.

We have been all over the place in our quest to fix a problem that doesn't exist - well kinda exists - I am tired of the long wheel base of the Tundra ... *sigh* - - would like a little better gas mileage to work, etc.

This escalated to considering buying a HDJ81, somehow . . and then to full on shopping on Tacoma World as a late night obsession and putting an $6K expedition camper tent in a shopping cart before realizing prolly not a good idea to "just do that," . . . I think I am back to my senses now, but not sure. Let's just say, beer and shopping can be a dangerous pair.

Options considered the last few days IN ORDER:

1. LX450 (Son); LX450 (Dad); HDJ81 (Wife)
2. LX450 (Son); LX450 (Mom); HDJ81 (Dad)
3. LX450 (Son); Prius V (Mom); HJD81 (Dad)
4. LX450 (Son); Prius V (Mom); 2015 DC Tacoma SB (Dad)
5. Currently (totally sober): LX450 (Son); LX450 (Dad); 2013 AC Tacoma LB (Wife - not sure she has bought in yet, but its going down fo' real - I get to drive it to work 3x/week)

:)

Yes Tundra and Prius V up for sale . . .not sure when tho :)

If anyone is in the market for a '13 AC Tacoma LB, I know of one that will be up for sale in 8 months or so. :hillbilly:

Bidding - - and also bought this stuff while drinking last night too much:......
Jamie - Have I been doing it wrong? I didn't know you were supposed to start drinking when you GOT a new job? I've been waiting until the job beat me down.

You are doing it wrong if you aren't drinking when you are both beat down AND just get a new job. :)

I do need to cut back - I'm drinking all the B&B profits (er I mean making us more unprofitable).

LS430 out?

For me, yes? My dreams of a SC400/300 or a LS430 are not going to be realized soon. Maybe for my daughter in a couple years :)

Just got a voicemail from Nichols Chrysler Jeep, the Iphone decided to transcript the heavily accented: "Nichols Chrysler Jeep" into "closeout psychology" I chuckled a little.

Bitcoin.... Andrew's post in the book thread made me think about it again.

What's everyones take on it?

When it first showed up I laughed at it (now I wish I had bought some)

While I understand what it is I don't know how its value is actually measured.

Think it will stay around?? eventually replace the dollar as the dominate currency or even all currency completely?
