I'm betting that his per pound price is low based on the literal s***-ton he buys each month. A 1/4 plate of A36 weighs ~330# so at 225 a sheet comes out to ~.68 per #. Not that low really if he's buying 10k pounds a month.
You should see what prices are when you buy 45-50k pounds twice a week!

Host continent at this point right? I.e. we don’t know if it’s gonna be in US, Canada or Mexico?

It's in all three 60 of the 80 games will be in the 10 cities in the US. There are 17 in the hunt.

So this morning (meaning the 45 minutes I've been awake...rough life) I've been debating which to do first today: Brakes or steering. I'm sure there's some sort of definitive philosophical answer that I can't find yet, but I'm leaning towards the practical answer of 'there's no wrong choice when it's between those two'. Also 'I can avoid it all together by waiting another couple hours or just driving a different truck'. Meh, I better check the temperature outside first, and maybe wake up earlier tomorrow.

Either way, I figure I have about 5 hours of work to do but only 9 days to do it. It's gonna be close.

I had a friend Brent that used to buy 900 thousand tons of steel, made to roll.... It was out of control.

^^^ Ok, so my latest buy is small potatoes. Six 48x16x1/8 steel tread plates (diamond plate, raw) for $40. Never heard back from the seller of the 1/4" half sheet I mentioned earlier. Still no idea why Sarah wants it.

Related - what brand/model of 120v angle grinder is drool-worthy these days? I have a feeling my cordless won't be up to the demand.

EDIT: Nevermind. I found some related banter in The Tool Thread.

Really can't go wrong with a makita, dewalt, bosch, milwakee, etc.... just compare the specs and buy the cheapest.

We clearly need federal capacity limits on vehicle exhaust pipes.

@NCFJ I'm finally putting your "vodka odor removal" method to the test. Sprayed down my favorite pair of shoes and have them in a garbage bag on the deck. Also sprayed the interior of a ridiculously expensive guitar case that has the common "cat pee syndrome" (bought previously infected). It's also living on the deck in direct sun. I'm not expecting much on the guitar case as I think all previous rank reduction techniques have probably only served to embed the stench further.
The guitar case was a big fail. No noticeable change. I saturated it again and have it basting outside but in the shade this time. Not sure on the shoes yet. They only got funky after wearing them for a few hours and the stink would disappear overnight.

should have started it up.... would have shot right out. LOL

"but alcohol may have been a factor..."

Anyone know how the Dutch John hill climb is this year? Taking some friends up this weekend who are new to URE

We ran it at the Relic Run, but haven't been back since. The 80 didn't have any trouble but it seemed more gnarly that it was last year. The first section of the climb seemed more difficult that the entrenched section.

Great! Thanks for the info
