Not my cup of tea. I bought the FJC new in 06, because it was new and I wanted to play and not be wrenching on an old truck. I sold it when it was 7 years old. I'll stick with older well maintained trucks. Can't imagine the cost of repairs on that thing once out of warranty. It'll be interesting to see how close they stay to the concept, the FJC was pretty close.
You closet hipster you! Did it come with skinny jeans?

No skinny jeans, they were not hip at that point I guess. It's hip to be square ya know :)

Scary thing was that I knew more about the vehicle than anyone I could find at the dealership when I bought it. I wanted new Toyota tough and I had seen the concept at a show. No regrets, we had a hell of a lot of fun in that truck, beat the snot out of it with no fear of breaking down. Grenaded a ring gear, locked it up and the next fuse was the rear output shaft on the T-case. Drove it home 200 miles in front wheel drive with a solo cup duct taped in the T-case where the output shaft was. Tough Truck!

I much prefer the visibility of a 60 series, with the suspension of an 80 series and the drive train of a Taho :) One day...............

I remember the story of the person who bought it from you, probably still in use....

You just never know with people, sometimes more than meets the eye. I see it every so often at his house when I travel over that way. He loved that thing and it's always dirty when I see it.

Also, we do have raccoons in my chimney. The guy who came out couldn't get them with his snare and left traps for me. It's a mom and two kits. If I can't catch all of them, I'll let them go because I don't want to leave the babies stranded.

Zoom in real good to see the babies

That's creepy.....

you got your 60 back from trollholes?

We decided to do a couples project and pull the motor ourselves the wife has started to take a bigger interest in the mechanical side of the trucks so we are going to pull this one and put in a used while we rebuild it. We were just talking about paint to we might leave the patina and just clear coat it. We hope to have it ready for the relic run.
