The cruiser market is dying. Downey, Solid Rock and Proffits all went belly up. Man a fre is not far behind. And we will see others go belly up as well. I blame washington. Man a fre had great parts so sad to see them go.

Jim Sickles, the owner of Downey, retired and is still selling parts on eBay as Tojoman. Marvin Spector just died. Proffitts sold out to a bigger company over a year ago. Likewise, Longfield was just acquired by Trail Gear after his widow waited a year after Bobby's passing. Not sure where you are getting the definitive Man-A-Fre info from.

There are still plenty of Cruiser companies out there, although you may not like the prices. CruiserParts here in NH is one to support. Slee, etc. OME, IronMan. Don't be so depressed.

Business's have to make $$ to stay alive. There's tons more Toyota trucks, 4 Runners and FJC's on the road now than the older lines. As a result, there's more aftermarket support for those models.

Toyota / Lexus doesn't seem to want to support the four wheeling community in the US outside of the Tacoma / Tundra / 4Runner. Sadly, this is even the last year for the FJCruiser The LandCruiser lives well outside the US and there are plenty of newer Toyotas competing in the Dakar race / rally.

I think we will all get by for our lifetimes - especially older guys like Lane

actually the real demise is from garage developers of new innovative products. With the lower cost of CNC anyone can design and make high quality after market parts with low over head. Fueled by the internet with low cost mass advertizing.

All you need is a little ingenuity and drive and there you go a better product for less.

I picked up a M1102 trailer from Fort Drum last week and want to lower it just a little. The trailer has the humvee wheels (16.5 x 8.25) and tires (37x12.5-16.5). Looking for any used tires 33x12.5-16.5 or something close to mount on these wheels.
