If you need the part number for the TPS plug send me a PM. I purchased a brand new one when i was installing the supercharger and had to lengthen the wires. IIRC it was around $10 from my local dealer.

Couple of pics of the plug I'm after:

And the TPS (don't need a TPS, this is just for reference of what it plugs to), which is p/n: 89452-14050

1978 FJ40 front axle:

This is the SOA I have under my diesel 40. I'm building a custom FJ60 front axle to replace it.

It's a 1978 disc brake axle. The brakes are fairly new with marginal wear, I haven't driven it much since my 40 restoration.

Housing is a cut and turned housing, I so not recall what degrees the knuckle balls were rotated.

4x4 Labs "Frombe" high steer kit. Kit is for the 1978 small knuckle arm stud knuckles.

Knuckle balls are clearanced for larger "mini truck" birfields. The short side is Longfield 30 spline inner shaft and birfield. Long side is Longfield's heat treated series "stock mini truck" birfield but it is not covered under warranty because the birfield was grounded on to give extra clearance within the knuckle ball (previous owner did that). Long side axle shaft is a Longfield shaft.

Fine spline front pinion with lock-rite locker. Locker was bought new a few years ago and has less than 10 wheeling trips on it.

Axle is currently under my truck waiting on a buyer. Asking $1000 OBO. Make me an offer!

I'll even throw in the used gear oil for FREE!!! Haha

Sold! Ohio bound....

Fort Knox Safe FS - Charlotte Area

So I decided to significantly upgrade the size of my secure storage. Rather than end up with two safes, I will be obtaining one significantly larger safe, so I have my existing Fort Knox for sale.

It is a Fort Knox 600G made in 1992. It is 60.5" Tall, 30.5" wide, and 24" deep (measured on the safe body) and weighs somewhere between 750 and 800 pounds. It is painted gloss black with a brass Sargent and Greenleaf key lockable combination lock. It has a 20 gun interior that is fairly easily adjusted holding 14 long guns on the left and 6 on the right in conjunction with half shelves. The interior uses common shelf brackets, so it would be easy to customize.

The door has four active bolts on each side and one on the top.

I ordered it with the double wall and the fire protection package of that time period. In 1992, either UL was not certifying safes or Fort Knox was not going through that process so I do not know what the fire rating on the safe is.

In their current line-up, the safe is somewhere between the Defender and Protector series though there are features on both that are not in this safe (things change after 21 years). In the Defender Series, this would be the model 6031 (Click here ) If you click through the "building process" on the website, you can see the layout of the 20 gun interior on the fifth row down, second layout.

The safe has been through 8 moves and shows some evidence of the moves in scratches and dings in the paint (soe of which you can see below), but everything still functions perfectly.

I am thinking $700 for a ONSC price. Will be putting this on CL in a couple of weeks, but wanted to post it here.

Here is a pic of the outside

None of the inside yet ... for obvious reasons ... probably have some in a few weeks.

PM me with any questions

If you need a new cable, that is a pretty good price. That cable new from Warn is probably 3-4x that price (maybe more)

Is this worth the coin? I will be in the area of the great city of Troutman on Friday, and was thinking of getting it, but if I pass and someone else might need it I could pick it up.http://charlotte.craigslist.org/pts/3827393766.html

That fairlead won't last long using a steel cable.

I've got the take off steel cable and roller fairlead from my Warn winch, just waiting to have a massive garage sale later this summer...

Yeah, didn't figure the fairlead was for cable. All I have seen were rollers for cable. I'm thinking that is for the rope (synthetic).

If it is a Warn steel fairlead, it will work fine with cable. If it is aluminum, not so much. It looks a lot like a Warn steel fairlead that used to be standard for their winches.

Sounding more like something that should find a new home at that price.
Thanks
Shane

A little late to the party but yes WARN and Viking offroad make steel HAWSE fairleads that work with steel cable.

The black one from WARN is a steel one.

Going to see if I can get it Friday. Will also try and get some more pictures of the 62 and 55 in Statesville. Haven't forgot about them, just busy.
Is $400.00 for the 62 delivered to my house worth doing?
Maybe more pictures would help in that decision.
Shane

pictures would help as well as your plans for it but so far id say YES.
Worth every penny. worst you cold do is part and scrap if plans change ans space allowed.

55 in statesville huh?

I had posted some pictures in another thread. They are both for part out only and the 55 only has about two parts on it.

ConFerr FJ40 Center Console-$125 obo

ConFerr FJ40 Center Console - $125 obo

As you can hopefully see from the crappy cell phone pics, padding is in very good condition, paint is pretty good and the stock console is included so you don't have to drill holes in yours to mount it. I have two keys (one I believe to be original and one copy). Let me know if you want/need more pics.

Willing to mud ship. Other shipping on your dime.

Plan to post on the main classifieds if there are no takers in the next week.

I just realized that my new (to me) '70 FJ40 does not have a skid plate under it. WTF?? Anybody got one for sale locally (Charlotte area)? I can't imagine ever taking this thing off road without a plate under there. Dang...it seems like the more I go over this 'Cruiser the more I find missing... Let me know what you've got. Thanks, Dave.

You may just want to get a IPOR or metal tech on at this point instead of paying for a much weaker stock one
