I have an almost complete RC crawler kit package $100
You would need steering/susp linkages, driveshafts, and a transmission to complete. misc hardware and a battery charger

I thought Id offer it up here to see if anyone was interested in expanding into the RC crawler world and assembling themselves to their likes and learning along the way as I did. If there is no interest Ill likely source the missing pieces and assemble for a higer price.

I have a NIB JP j**p body as well for an additional 50 bux

Parts included and pictured:
Frame: stock axial ax10 frame drilled for longarm suspension mod
or Integy extended length, multi position frame in bitchin purple :D
comes with top aluminum battery tray and bottom delrin skid/xmember
Axles: stock n locked axial ax10 axles
also including NIB underdrive gears for rear and HD lockers (2)
ESC: traxxas XL5 LIPO compatible with forward and reverse (pause between)
Servo: Hs645MG HiTec upgrade from stock steering servo with aluminum servo horn
TX/RX: duratraxx tx and need to find the rx entry level but hacked for 3 position switch
motor: JP warrior 45T motor
New ax10 tires and beadlock wheels
4 shocks with medium springs and 30wt oil and various rod ends
2 1000 MA batteries

After the icing we got over the weekend my wife is suddenly a 4x4 enthusiast and has been looking at 4runners on CL. If I could use this opportunity to talk her into a 40 then life would be good. I'm in no rush but if anyone hears of a later model 40 that's stock or close to it for <5-6K let me know. Is it even possible to find a working 40 that's not a rust bucket in this price range?

Yes if your patient. What gen 4runner is she looking for?

I would only want her to get a 1st or 2nd gen... but those are getting more and more difficult to find in good condition too.

Al, did you ever find out if you have that center dash piece???

Trim around the clock/vent in the center of the dash

Just try to avoid the 3.0 v6 unless you plan on an engine swap. If you consider a 2nd gen you might as well consider a 3rd gen. Size wise they are similar to the 2nd and the engines and suspension are much more refined. You shoudl be able to get a very nice 3rd gen for that budget if you are patient. 2nd and 3rd gen are much different than a 40 in many ways, comfort being the #1. $ wise they are much different as well, that was one of my biggest reliefs when I went to my pickup and 4runner from my 62 and 80 series, parts are plentiful and much less expensive. Let me know if you have any questions.

Pending sale :D

Did this sell? Jason let me know if you still have it...............

Johnny if you got it, let me know when you're up for some crawlin' or a trail ride.

Misc stuff and 40 stuff for sale

Cleaning out the stock pile a little after our move this weekend. Cheap prices. Let me know if your interested

Kelty camping picnic pack brand new-$25- SOLD pending exchange later this week

Ambulance doors for 40- This is just surface rust in these pictures. Overall the doors are actually in good shape with the exception of the bottoms which will work but are rusted. They were on my cruiser until recently and i had started to repair but found some perfect ones from out west for the right price. The patch kit from real steel cruiser parts would be perfect. The rest of the door has no rot at all. I also have the Glass for these doors that will go with them.- $50 for them

Overhead Console-This is from Cool Cruisers. mounts with the hardtop on. its a replica of the one con ferr made. Good shape-$50

Soft Doors-These came with my cruiser and have never even gone on the truck so i figured i'd let someone else use them. The passenger side zipper wont zip past halfway. They could use a cleaning but other than that decent shape- $75

Front Bib-Bottom is rusty and would be perfect for lower bib patch from real steel cruisers. -$35
