TBI was a Gen I v8 that stopped being used in 95. It was replaced with the original and "true" vortec motor, also a Gen I using what is refered to as the spider injection, that ran untill 2003 in some applications.

Yeah I forget about the switch, the engine that was in my 40 was true TBI with unknown junkyard origins. My 1998 GMC Savanna 3500 schoolbus does have the vortec 350 with spider injection. Which is very weird to look at

I have a trip to Stoney lonesome and hawk pride in Alabama in a few weeks, and as usual I have neglected the 40 since it spit out the rear driveshaft in November.

So I’m planning to cut the yokes out of the twisted shaft and build one on a coworkers lathe with whatever heavy wall tube I can scrounge. This will become a trail spare once I get an actual one built.

Which in order to have a new one built I’m in need of another 40 driveshaft to rob the yokes off for a new one when I get it built by a shop.

Anyone have a large u joint(75?+) 40 shaft laying around they wanna get rid of. It doesn’t have to be nice. Just so long as the yokes are there and the ears aren’t spread or the u joint holes Wallered.

I’m on the fence on these. Leaning toward keeping. Have 3 nitto terra grappler G2’s on TRD rims in gray. Tires have ~7.5k miles on them.

$400 each. Would need commitment on all 3 (would do $1000 if to same purchaser)
Otherwise I may buy a 4th and re list as a set of 5 (4 nitto 1 ko2) or just move to the 45 < most likely

Tires are 450 ea
Wheels are less than year old at $187 each

Do you have 3 or 4? Moonshine needs new tires and has 17" rims. Can't use the rims though.

If you're into selling just the tires we should talk. The drive up to your place is nice, I'd do it again, lol.

I'm looking for a winch bumper for my 2000 LX470 , and potentially a rear bumper with tire carrier as well if anyone is looking to sell one.

I also have an old school 60 Series bumper that will fit a Warn 8274 that I am going to sell and have an extra 8274 that needs a bit of work that I can work into the deal as well.

I'm also currently building a 40 series and would love bumpers front and rear for it as well.

Third, I have 4plus sliders for a 60 series that the previous owner bedlined. I ordered and have new plates that weld onto the Fram from them as well. I am open to do some trading too. I will be at the relic run this year and can potentially make a run up to NC otherwise as I'm down in Athens, GA now. Thank you!

THere is a guy in raleigh with a brand new sahara bar. He has had it for sometime. Run without the hoop and it should work for the lx470. I can send his contact info if needed. He lives new Crabtree.

I should have some. Give me measurements out between the bolts. I have 40 driveshafts here.
