I'm happy to see those fit better on the LX than the LC. I tried that exact tire 285/75/18 RG recently on my LC, and it did not work well because of the KDSS. That seemed to be the only place it caused me trouble though as you can see here:

I think I saw you on Monday morning as I was driving by Mono lake. I wasn't driving my LX.Exploring White Mountain Road and the Coyote Creek Trail in Inyo NF, CA.View attachment 2038429View attachment 2038430View attachment 2038431
Yep I was parked there for lunch! Just moved back to California after a stint on the east coast and I couldn't be happier. I'm cruising back down the 395 to San Diego today.I think I saw you on Monday morning as I was driving by Mono lake. I wasn't driving my LX.
According to Nitto, the tires are 35.08". I haven't measured for my own edification but I will tonight. I don't have a lift and I only had to trim the front of the running board after removing the mud flap and pushing the bracket back. The rest was reshaped with a heat gun.Do you have a lift or did cut anything to get 285x75x18 almost 35” on your truck??
I read and re-read this thread and others closely before landing on this size. I also spoke with @Apounder about how he fit the 35x12.5 KO2s on his former LX.I'm happy to see those fit better on the LX than the LC. Posting this here since it's also appropriate. Picked this up yesterday. 2008, 145k, 285/75R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Not a huge fan of black but it's what I could find. Two owner Arizona truck. I know the truck color/wheel combo is just like @eatSleepWoof but at least the tires are different. And we are in different countries. Couldn't pass up the deal on the TRD wheels.

I have not crossed that bridge yet. Any one have any idea the biggest size that will fit?@dubyahard - what are you doing for a spare? A 35" spare won't fit into the original spare location, will it?
what are those tire/wheel specs?^
I'm running 275/70R18 BFG KO2s on 2016+ Land Cruiser wheels. I also did the AHC lift in the front to level things out. The picture was taken in 'N' mode.
Here is the video. I was told when I was on the reverse gear, the wheels were not spinning. I was on low 4, and traction was off.
I failed lc200...
Can't tell the texture of the ground, but seemlingly too mild to have stuck?
You didn't mention it but center diff lock is key for loose surfaces.
Next magic trick if you do get stuck with center diff lock and 4-low, is to use Crawl control. Works both in forward and reverse. Airing down can also help greatly.
Toyota Land Cruiser Crawl control
Is there spacers or anything else? No rubbing?
Thanks for the tips. I did try crawl control in forward, but not in reverse. I forgot to turn on the center diff lock. Just too green...
