Like I said, youtubers yearning for your clicks. Anyway, we are veering pretty far from this thread. Y'all can go to the 300 forum and check there. Plenty of discussion, including this clip and others.
Yearning for clicks? All he did was put a Toyota bulletin and a timeline up and pretty much said make your own decision, but here is what's going on and he wouldn't get one right now because he is more risk averse.

Did you click and watch his video? That's all he wanted. That's how YT works and how they make (big) money.

Ummm...ok. So with that definition everything with ads or sponsors is clickbait . Which makes almost everything on the internet including this forum clickbait.
Well, you can't make money off of clicks here, so no. At least, not that I know of. That said, yes for all these "social media" sites. YT and Instagram probably the most profitable these days. The amount of false and misleading information out there is astonishing to say the least.

Agreed about the amount of false and misleading stuff out there...but that wasn't what this guy was doing. It was a factual data timeline that lined up with your statement earlier and an actual toyota bulletin that put question into what the actual problem is.

Took the camper out for a little trip to Lava Hot Springs in South East, ID this past weekend. Ditched the stock 21" wheels and put on some Tundra 18's with 275/70R18 Nokian Outpost nAT tires. So far zero complaints and they compare favorably to the Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws and Toyo OpenCountry AT3's I had on my previous 2 LX570's.

There is more to it that I dont want to get into here, but this is accident #5 in 2 years.

Yes. It is infuriating and concerning. I am at my wits end with her. There is something going on with her psychologically where I think she may just not be present at times.

The alignment was just performed hours before. I had the low and high speed adjustment dialed. Zero body roll in turns or brake dive. Sway bar in the rear was retained with extended end links. IMO it was not the cars fault.

She drove a lifted GX460 on even taller tires for 2 years, until we traded it in 5 years ago. Zero issues.

She hasn't been the same since she had COVID. Depression. Anxiety. Aggression. Zoning out, etc.

Dont know what to do other than try to be supportive and encourage treatment and therapy.
Very off-topic here, and just an anecdotal story I guess, but I have a friend whose family doctor recently told him about nicotine patches/gum being beneficial for those with symptoms of long COVID. Something about the spike proteins in COVID binding to the same brain receptors that nicotine does. So if a patient starts using nic gum/patches the receptors favor the nicotine and will kick off the spike protein. I don't know if there's anything to actually back that up, but it just came to my mind reading your comment and I figured it might be worth looking into for your wife.

Fiddled with my front AHC settings yesterday and brought the front to 20" front center of the hub to fender on both sides.

I didnt realize how difficult it is to find a level surface in my area until I started this process. After 30 minutes of driving around I found a covered entry way at a church that was pretty flat and got it dialed in after 15 minutes. Initially the drivers side was at 19" and the passenger side was at 19-3/4", so it was off quite a bit.

Was a little stiff initially but eventually smoothed out after I drove it a few miles.

Then I headed over to perform my usual ditch test.

I have only had ATRAC or factory lockers in my past Lexus and Toyota vehicles so I was skeptical about Crawl Control but I gave it a shot and WOW! It was able to scoot right over the ditch even with a few airborne wheels. The bottom was really slick mud too but the Crawl Control system did all the work for me.

I was also impressed by the clearance I got with Hi Mode. I did almost pinch off one of the rear mud flaps, but a 33"-34" tire will probably get it up high enough to help spare those.

Overall I am very impressed with my "new" LX570 and look forward to getting it out on the trails soon.

Need to sell some of the GX470 parts to help fund the build.

Were they just too aggressive, or you didn't feel they were necessary?
I don't think it's needed on the 16-21 cars.
I am not doing 60-0 hard braking.
And when I did do it to bed the brakes, the car stopped on a dime with the stock brakes. I had also upgraded all 6 lines to slee stainless steel.

If I had 20 or 21" wheels (fitment is much better) and was doing a lot of aggressive driving/towing maybe but even then, 5x the cost of OEM...eh..

But with 18" wheels, having to deal with spacers only to get a few millimeters worth of clearance, not worth it IMO.

Having the SC doesn't mean I need bigger brakes. How fast I get to 60mph doesn't dictate how fast I need to slow down..
The SC makes the car feel so much lighter. I never feel like I am moving a heavy car.

I was gonna say that ditch doesn't seem like the most level place to calibrate.. lol.
just kidding.

i need help on dialing in my AHC settings. I have tiny bit of sag to the left side. Need to park it in the garage and get some readings.

Just make sure the surface is as level as possible.

Measure from the center hub to the fender and go from there. I just needed a 10mm ratchet wrench and a paint marker to put lines above and below the nut so I could go back to stock settings if I needed to.

Just loosen the nut and gently tap the grooved arm down a little bit. Doesn't take much. I moved the drivers side 3 credit cards in thickness and the passenger side about 2 credit cards in thickness.

Yeah if you're not doing a lot of heavy towing on steep grades, or long descents down steep mountain trails, there's probably no reason to justify that setup on something that isn't a track car.

I got some DBA upgraded pads and rotors when I switched to 17” wheels and Wildpeaks. Sudden hard braking often led to lockups, especially in the mountains. My mechanic said nothing wrong with ABS, and he switched back to stock brakes. Still locks up, so I think it’s the AT3’s. I can live with it as long as I remember I’m driving a truck, not a track car.

I have the DBA rotors and Hawk LTS pads. No lockup problems. I don't know how there isn't a problem with the ABS. If the wheel speed sensor shows it locking up, it should pulse, regardless of tire, rotor, pads, etc.

I would add.. or don't run big tires, or don't do lots of spirited street driving.

What year is your rig? I notice my 2009 with upgraded Tundra sized rotors is a bit front biased but only really shows in super low traction environments like snow and cold rain.
