Its funny you bring the snorkel thingi madu. I was going home after I left your house yesterday and Destrehan was flood it. With my FJ it was like child's play, but I wonder if I have to come home to make sure my family is ok and it gets really, REALLY bad, will I kick my self on the ass for not doing this mod sooner rather than later.:meh::confused:

You can drive through 27" of water before it will reach your intake. That's more than 2 ft. You just can't travel through it at high speed at that depth.

Rear locker breather isn't that high though. It sits just ontop of the rear axle unless you have relocated it.

operative word: add a tube

oh, and BTW, I won't make it to the Twin Peaks meet - I need to get the 40 smogged in AZ before the registration runs out by the end of July - and since I can't go this weekend, has to be the next

well, there's always next time

Well yes duh :)

Mike seemed to be referring to a "stock FJs fording capability" as provided by Toyota. I was just reminding folks that the height of the rear locker breather is less than that height.

You guys should get the parts for this and bring them to the next wrench party. Only took me about 15 minutes to do it all.
IIRC, you need that camry adapter to screw in to the axle housing, some tube, a T fitting, and a breather/filter. Auto stores sell these little Spectre ones that work perfectly. The stock breather cap isn't the best.

So I now realize just how much this club has affected the blue room and all those who were reluctant to make the move over to MUD......Will is now referring people to our clubhouse here because we don't hang out in the blue room much any longer. Now if we can just get TinCan to make the switch..........

I had bought 10 of the Camry adaptors. I gave a few away. I still have a few if I can remember where I put them. I bought them to give to out to the LLK, so if you need one, I'll try to bring them to our next wrench party (or to Twin Peaks if I find them before this weekend). :wrench:

Will, do your best to find one of them please. I want to see what these things look like and figure out if they will work on my rig as well. If not, at least it gives me an idea of what I am looking for.

And I think Layton has the power to rename the La sub-forum on the blue room. ;)

i need one! i plan on doing the full scuba mod in the next couple weeks

Nope, I troll on the blue room sometimes. I am going to make another account over there though out of a different state and different IP because my trolling this time ended up getting LLK members questioned by blue room peeps. Don't need the local club being affected by one of my passtimes.
