Alright. A couple thoughts/question?
Mechanical:
What kind of SOA lift, does it have a cut and turn? If not, caster correction shims?
Any lockers? Re-gear? How do the knuckles look?
Why can't it be driven on road. If it's a result of lift, it was done wrong. A SOA should behave differently onroad, but still just fine.
Cosmetics:
What is up with the mirror on passenger side? not factory.
It has all the chrome trim on the bottom, so there is probably more rust hiding there. If there is rust there on the roof? seem to actually be common for the 60's, it means there is probably a lot hiding in the rear wheel wells, bottoms of the doors, already has the top of driver door eaten, see grass though floor board on passenger side, front fenders.
Check the rear frame behind the axle. it's probably gonna look like swiss cheese.
The dash looks like the vinal is cracked.
Opinion:
Honestly I'd offer him $500, then settle for about $800. and that's only to use as a beater rig, strip all the glass, cut off the roof, and wheel the piss out of it.
Now I recognize this rig. SO...
That last part, scratch it. I've already passed on this rig. the seller wasn't the nicest. If he asked who told you these questions, tell him it's the guy who got his GMC stuck in his "dry" yard...
It's been repainted. The body has ALOT more rust than it appears. It was on sale for $500 a couple months back, was having troubles with the wires under the hood. It had rats nests all over it, and alot of junk wires.......
