I was only there for about 4 hours with my three oldest kids. Got to wheel with @GW Nugget and see the sunset.

Great weekend, thanks to Seth and the crew. Much fun was had between the wheeling, light parade, and eating. We had the smoker going all day Friday and Saturday. Best of all, I will NOT make the shirt next year! I will post up some pictures shortly.

One topic, maybe to consider when next year's planning commences, is date and/or location. In the past when we did this on the 1st week of November, there was usually a decent bit of open space between our group and the atv/motorcycle crowd. These last two years we were much more intermingled. This year the up all night ripping around campsites on bikes/quads, etc..., getting hammered, cussing at top volume got to be a bit much at least where we were. Maybe we can consider moving farther south or even going back to the 1st weekend in Nov?

Either one works for me. But I will say that was the busiest I've ever seen it (though I've ONLY been there during S&T/T&S events).

My first time there and I appreciate your observations. I was traveling solo and was glad at various points I did not have the :princess: or Dogs with me. I just figured the atv/motorcycle night time a palooza was par for the course. I can sleep through most things but the dogs would have been going nuts all night. The :princess: (who wants to attend next year) and I had a long conversation about how to find a spot further away from the chaos. I noticed further south there were a few people camping but of course nowhere near bathroom facilities which could be a problem for many. I picked a pretty decent spot on Thursday but did not factor the sheer influx of people on both Friday and at 5am Saturday:mad:.

Still it was a great event and I add my thanks to all who put in hard work to organize it and to those who helped me when I got stuck :D!

Totally great event indeed. This is one of those "must do's" that has become a family tradition.

I am of the same mind to have it the first weekend of November. I know kids will miss one day of school but its not that big of a deal for most. I would rather have a safer environment for them with less people out there anyways.

Didn’t have much pictures... too busy having fun! It was the best time to have our out of state visitors... they had a blast!

Picture perfect...

If back to the first weekend of November it means back to no more Turf-N-Surf for me since I have to be at the SEMA show for work the first weekend of November. So my vote is camping south of Mile Marker six and not to the North of it. The access path from the beach to the dunes next to main camp is a natural divider, just need to remind Toyota guys to camp between Mile Marker 6 and 7 and not between 5 and 6. I didn't see many crazy people between mile markers 6 to 7.

^^^ Very true, we camped just past the main camp and there was a lot of room between campers and noise was not an issue at all.
I don't mind if we go back to the first weekend of November it will work out for me since I always ask for vacation ahead of time. Thanks to @sethzilla and all that helped out in making this event a success we will continue to come every year whatever weekend it ends up on.

It would be nice to shake hands and put faces with your avatars maybe we could have a real Meet N Greet next year. I always say hi to people that I have camped in the past and know on Mud.
