The RW wheels are what I really wanted, I needed tires and got the Black TRD Tundra wheels new from the dealer for $1,000. I just could not pass that up about three months ago. I will just sit on the other wheels through the winter and might just sell them in the spring. Kind of sucks, they have about 2k on them. The dealer was putting 20" tires on trucks and adding 5k to the price.

Installed the RW wheels today, they are a little snug around the center of the hub. My son likes the Tundra TRD wheels better.

I still have not made my mind up.

What are the community thoughts?

I think both look good, but RW for sure.

Functionally RW are tough to beat.
Great weight:strength ratio.

We're having a snowy winter so far. Having my lovely wife drive the 2Hundy makes me feel good about her safety. It's a solid truck & it goes like crazy in the snow.

Couldn't agree more. Hard to improve on a classic - the Rock Warrior will stand the test of time like these beauties (IMHO):
  • OEM gray 40 Series wheels with hubcaps
  • OEM GCC steelies (aka "Wolf" wheels)
  • OEM 80 Series wheel - here shown on my LSJ73

There is a lovely conversation going over in the "200 Series Slider Opinions" thread. Rather than crap that up with this comment, I am bringing it back to the Chat/BS huddle.

Thought to share this image and site for several reasons....a) it is a Land Cruiser, b) it is modified and c) I grew up on "Rat Patrol" and first car was a Jeep with no top. Guess I never grew up. Found Jankel while doing some educational research, as Terrain Tamer supplies armorers and government/NGO fleets. As most of you probably know, the 200 platform is a popular option for executive protection and other use in hostile environments.

Enjoy

Wow. What's your next move? Are you getting out of LC's? Or...? lots of nice mods on that truck...

I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro that should be here in a month or so. If it sells it sells. I want to free up some $$$ for home improvements to keep in good graces with the wife. She lets me have my toys so its not too big of a deal, but looking at it all cleaned up makes it hard to sell.

Cancel the Tacoma and put a lift and front bumper on your LC...? :) More than one way to save $...

Caught this during the Grand Tour's (Top Gear) Namibia trip. I guess they used the best chase/crew vehicles.

Both my wife and I noticed the 200 when we watched the series the other night! There was one other scene we caught it as well. On Top Gear every now and then you could see a 100 series as their chase vehicle too. Good taste for sure :)

Episode #2 had several 70 Series

There were a couple 70s in that episode too, but it was Africa. Nearly every LC I saw during my time in eastern Africa was a 70. Many of which were used for the safari trips. I'm not saying I chose a tour group just because it had a 70, but it was a selling point. Taking pictures of the LC on a safari instead of the wildlife and scenery was not taken well by the ladyfriend.

Tell her that you can see lions and giraffes in any American zoo, but seeing a 70...now that's a rare and photo-worthy event!

Can anyone else see the pictures on the iH8mud store?

I've tried three browsers, and and up to date on plugins, etc, but this is all I get:
