I'm not enough of a Ham geek to know how to put something like this together... just wondering if there would be interest in putting together a weekly Ham radio net for 200 owners? I believe it's possible to port into an IP to achieve nation wide coverage? As you can tell, I'm way over my skis on this. Just thought it might be a fun winter thing. Take the ball an run with it if you have talents.

IRLP might be good for this.

Totally OT for LCs and LXs, but... Wondering if anyone plans to attend the WEC 1000 Miles of Sebring - and come out for the Toyota Gazoo Racing team? My youngest and I will be going for a day or two out of the 4 day larger event.

With all the talk of hybrid power plant for the future 300 series LC - see in-person how far and fast Toyota can push a hybrid vehicle.

EDIT: Event was canceled, except they still plan the 12 hours race. Sad as the Toyotas don't run in that series and the top drivers won't be there.

Thank you forkind words, Rob.

@Taco2Cruiser is right thati haven’t posted about it except to notice when i can see better. If anyone is curious—Thankfully it’s a weird condition where multiple overlays/images happen most of the time. Looks like the mess u see if you take off 3d glasses in a 3d movie .. Specialists are looking at vision center of my brain. Spinal fluid shows evidence ofnerve breakdown +also lesions in occiptlital lobe, blah blah blah.

Anyway, it comes and goes and that’s why i haven’t posted much lately. l

If anyone is still reading— Rob (taco)is a war fighter inreal life, but he actually has a very big heart and i appreciate it. Shh. Don’t tell. :)

Very scary stuff, but there is a lot of exciting work being done in this area including some promising research on the effects of psychedelics in stimulating neurological repair in the brain. There has already been a lot of good work around Ketamine, MDMA and even LSD in treating mental health issues (Depression, PTSD, etc.) that are a result of neurological issues, but now there seems to be potential benefits for other kinds of brain injury (even if 'injury' isn't defined as an event but as a status) that may extend to physical symptoms. I had vision issues a few years ago that were ultimately attributed to a transient ischemic attack (TIA). They were temporary and no permanent damage has been identified, but I keep up on the topic a bit and I definitely read recently that there was some evidence of neurological repair to ischemic brain injury in rats using LSD. I'll try to find the article, but it is a hot area of promising research.

Your work on this forum has been an enormous help to me and countless others and for that I am truly grateful. I'll keep the positive energy flowing your direction and if there is anything we can do to return the many favors, don't hesitate to ask.

I don't remember which thread I found this information in... but I owe it to whichever one of you glorious bastards explained to someone else how to fix the angle of side view mirrors when going into reverse
On my Avalon for 3yrs now it has annoyed me how one would go down like crazy and the other would barely move, and the dealer never knew how to fix it so I just thought this is something I'll have to deal with. But today I remembered reading the fix recently and man is it great to have the angle to where I want them!
The little things that matter...

Your mirrors angle down on your LC when they go into reverse? Or am I reading that wrong? My wifes Avalon does it...but I drive that like once a year so don't care and she's never complained about it...so...best leave it alone.

I think that's what he was referencing. My wife's old LX would angle mirrors down in reverse, but her '13 200 LC does not. I guess that's a setting you can change?

4gotalot replied:
Find your mirror adjustment switch, up, down, left, right. Now put the left or right mirror selector slide switch in either L or R position like you were going to adjust one or the other. Leave the slide switch in the L or R position an when I put mr 2011 in reverse, both mirrors tip down then return to last setting when taken out of reverse. If the slide switch in in the center position, the mirrors won't tilt.

I didn't know you could adj the amount they tilt or correct one or the other.

Edit) Sorry, I didn't know how to fix my typing/editing.

See my last post above.

Yes, they angle down in both cars. The setting on the avalon, one went down too far and was useless for reversing and thought it wasn't something that could be adjusted. I have adjusted the angle they tilt on both vehicles now and love it!

MY 200, R200?
Well I did something a little different:

What’s happening to oil is truly stunning. Scrolling around the map of gas prices on the Gas Buddy app is like enteringatime-warp...

If only it made sense to actually go somewhere...

If you don’t have the Gas Buddy app...I highly recommend it.
Here:

No time warp in Seattle. Prices essentially unchanged.

Really?
You’ve had gas in the low to mid $2 range a long time?

Where I live it’s now $2.49 where it was $3.99a few months ago. That includes about 89 crents tax per gallon...

And yup, checked on my LC...they angle down as described...I promptly turned it off...

Gas is about $2/gal near me. Not much use since I hardly drive anywhere at the moment.

Can you post the text from that article? It's asking me to login..I don't have an account.

It's not an article, it's a LC forum (like MUD) in Australia and I linked to a thread.

I hope this isn't improper (maybe a mod can delete this is they think it is), but a sample post from the thread by forum member JSS is:

"In Qld it's technically not legal to permanently remove the 3rd row without getting it certified. BUT you can temporarily remove them and be completely legal.
I did look it up but honestly can't remember so you'll need to check but it's something like less than 6 months and it's considered temporary.
So if you ever did get pulled over and if the one in a million event happened that they asked about it you just need to tell them you only recently pulled them out and plan to put them back within the specified time. Pretty hard for them to prove otherwise unless you dob yourself in.
I've never heard of anyone being booked, refused an insurance claim, or even asked about their removal. "
