no those are going in my engine, this is a customer's 200,000 KM on them I'm almost sure they are original.

Not yet. I definitely need/want to do that. Even have the sample containers already... It's on my short list.

Almost certainly original IMO

Vast majority of 1hd-t in Aussie cruisers have never been opened up.
Guaranteed the average mileage wood be over 200k km

The earliest one with high metals was due to new beb's @ 185k km

Last analysis was 255k

1991 1-hdt

I wouldn't be so sure. I know several people who had HD-T's rebuilt at lower mileage. Oil consumption was the problem with one.
Australia was ground zero for the BEB problem because they can spend a lot of time driving in one direction at one speed. If that coincided with the speeds oil cavitation happened in the bearings then it was all over rapidly.

Here in NZ the driving is way more varied and we didn't have the same problem.

One was a mate who bought it already rebuilt. I don't know the reason why and I don't think he did. Another bought one that seemed original and couldn't get on top of the oil consumption problem. He put a new long-block in it.

Both were before 2010. So vehicles approx 10-15 years old. The 1HD-FTE was a lot more reliable than the 1HD-T.

Here is my Analysis results from last year. 7500km on the oil (4660Miles) I Believe these would be original BEB's on my JDM !

This was my report from about a year ago on my euro HDJ80 @ 336,000km. unsure if BEB's were ever done, but planning on doing them anyways in the next month or two

Posted this a while ago as a newcomer introduction and only just stumbled onto this thread, figured the info would be more valuable stored here.

Summary:
Defused a time-bomb with 1s left to go, I think I was about to send a rod to god.

1994 HDJ80R 1HD-T @190k Miles.
I believe these were the original bearings. Replaced with standard spec ACL.
Ill consider myself very lucky.

I took a small detour just before I arrived at destination ****ed.

Ive edited my post, that wasnt so clear was it...

I suspect these were the original bearings, previous owner who knew the long term previous owners had it as a belief that toyota recalled the 1hd-t for BEB's. Luckily i didnt believe him.

Very unusual wear pattern.
