Hi all,

Sorry if this was posted before.

I have an 97 FZJ80 with M/ Transmission. It is full option but unfortunately no OEM diff lockers.

I have a project, which is installing an OEM diff lock.
I found front and rear second hand axles with diff locks in good condition.
As far as I know, all I need is:
1. Axles with diff lock install ( I have it )
2. Diff lock ECU ( I don’t have the part number )
3. Wiring harness ( I don’t have the part number )
4. Diff lock switch ( I have it )
5. Dash bulbs ( I have it )

Am I missing anything?

I know 3rd party lockers work better than the OEM ones but I want to install Toyota’s

Any help or any advice is highly appreciated.

Not sure if you have to modify anything at the centre diff. For sure the ECU needs the signal before it will attempt to lock the axles.

Not sure I’m following. LC with manual transmission don’t come with Center diff lock because it is a part time 4WD.

Then you will need a ECU from a manual truck.

They can be wired manually, but you will want to have indicator lights wired to the engagement switch. I think slee has a wiring diagram on their site.
