Ohh...

That's nice!

Nice and cheap too!

I did find a vendor in the UK that sells it by the foot. Still very expensive. No doubt it's the bee's knees though. Good find @BMThiker .

Yeah, the more I think about it though, a sleeve will not work. There are branches coming off these harnesses every 18" or so. If it was a continuous wire, these would be perfect, but given the fact that the harness is the way it is, only a split tube will work.

Yeah, this stuff is best on the smaller, two-wire runs. I just hate wrapping Super 33 from one end to the other, especially when you are trying to troubleshoot an issue. PITA

Replaced the burnt/melted main female connector on the rear harness.

Zinc coated the studs at the bottom of the radiator shroud/support.

The finished parts pile in a guest room is growing.

Boy I sure hope that motor is a solid runner. You've done a ton of work for that to be a set back at the end! Looks great btw.

^^THIS^^
When I drove it prior to your purchase, I recall thinking it needed some "attention"

Hell yeah it needed attention. The carb was out of adjustment, there was a huge hole in the intake manifold (open port where SMOG sensor used to be) that was effing up all of the air/fuel mixture. Not to mention there was a gaping hole in the fuel pressure regulator that was spewing (literally) gas. Also most likely needs the valves adjusted, and the oil was looking like it hadn't been changed in a while.

It ran great after I replaced the regulator. I may switch the Weber out for a Trollhole. And again, if something arises, I'll have the time and skill set to pull the engine (God forbid).

Like I stated earlier, if it ain't broke, I ain't gonna fix it (in re. Drivetrain). I'm hoping after addressing the fuel delivery issues, carb adjustment, and valve adjustment, it will purr like a kitten.

Did you order 4" springs or the 2" ones? And What size tires you planning to run? I saw where you ordered both a few pages back, but don't recall sizes of either. And if it was there I apologize, I'm lazy and didn't feel like back tracking to find it. :meh:

2.5" OME Dakar Kit
Tires are BFG Km2 in 33/10.5/R15

All the above ordered from @wct49

Thank you sir. That is pretty much what I am looking at as well. Is BFG the only company that makes a 33x10.50r15?

Point taken. Wonder when the KM3's will be out....
