Okay, I know this is way off topic, but I was cruising through the best hot rod website around (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/) because I absolutely love old hot rods and customs. I have a small pile of model A stuff that I hope to assemble after the 55 is up and running.
Anyhoo... just saw this today. A 30-31 tutor body for $5250, and he'll probably get close to that (and Mr. Ford made over 4 million model A's!). Boy am I glad old piggy tubs aren't that expensive.

Back on topic. I should get plenty of time this weekend to work on the 55. Too bad the weather isn't going to cooperate. 60 degrees today and tomorrow, 30's and snowing this weekend.

District 9 Hilux Trucks are AWESOME!!!
OK, haven't had a lot of time to spend with the 55 lately, but I'm on my way to the metal shop to pick up some fresh steel.
My new motivation comes from the movie District 9. I was it for the first time last night and I loved the Toyota trucks in the film.
I've never been a big fan of art cars or movie replicas, but I can definitely draw some inspiration from these!

Finally wired up some 220 for my compressor and welder. Might finally get to make some progress (if I can find the time
).

Hoping to make some progress on the 55.
My grandfather just sold his farm and gave my a bunch of his old goodies (oxy/acetylene tanks, air compressor, drill press, bench sander, etc.)
The air compressor had some rust holes and gushed oil, so I patched up the holes, replaced some gaskets and made it a bit prettier.
