So I guess the search for a new to me 2F is on? Or rebuild this one? Or a V8 swap? Opinions are appreciated.

When mine shat itself I put a used one in

Buddy of mine who has way more experience says he doesn't think it's the head gasket because the oil still looks good. Says maybe the freeze plugs, but admits he has no experience with Toyota engines.

Thoughts?

I can explain away the plug and PCV condition based on it running rich and the leaky carb...

Is that just fresh oil that has the green tint or is that coolant I'm seeing?

Just some Hulk Juice. It is about to Hulk out and get mo power!

I hope its some simple.. If not..

V8 time! If you have any inclination to want more power now may be the time to make that happen. Motor swaps are a lot of work. If I would do that much work I would want to upgrade it.

Unless of course you were going for a complete restoration..

just my 2 cents for what its worth..

I don't blame you. I'm hating something fierce right now.

But not gonna quit.

Problem is I honestly have no clue where to go from here. Been reading for hours and think it may not even be antifreeze. But since this is way over my head I have no idea where to even start.

Would a compression test be helpful? You could see if there is a big drop in numbers pointing towards a head gasket. My PCV valve was fairly nasty from burnt oil too when I changed it. Then again mine smokes too from time to time...when I drive it.

I bet it is just a coolant line mixed up with vacuum hose. That anti freeze is too green to come from a head gasket.

Would love for that to be it but I can't figure out which line that would be.

Weber carb so the vacuum setup is pretty limited. PCV into manifold. Brake booster into manifold. Valve cover vent into air cleaner. Vacuum advance into carb. That's about it to my knowledge. Unless I'm missing something or did something really stupid...
