Is it still smoking after you drove it or just after the initial start?
Overfilled half a qt, max. I did change to 50w after it was previously running 30w. That have anything to do with it maybe?
I know I'm grasping...just feel sick thinking about what it might be.
Continuously smoking.
No where near enough to cause a problem. I assume you mean 20W50 and not straight 50W... Check your PCV. Are you building block pressure?
running rich?
Is the smoke black or blue? Smell like oil or rich mixture? I'm betting something "simple" since it came on quickly.......
Still betting it's something "simple." Changing the oil - even slightly overfilling it - is not likely to cause a catastrophic change.I'm hoping it's simple. Gut says different. It's been too smooth for too long.
If it is oil and not fuel and the PCV system is working correctly it is likely to be more serious. Has it been sitting for a while? Could be something like a broken oil ring. Pull the plugs one at a time and take pics if each one. Sorry bud.
I would go get diesel oil. 15/45 few more detergents in oil to help
This is in my PCV stem
