Here's my experience. NAPA stores carry the AirTex fuel pump on the shelf, but they still stock the Kyosan in their warehouses. That's how I got mine. The store clerk acted like it was a big PIA to order it for me, but he finally gave in and I picked it up within 48 hours. It came out of their Dallas warehouse. It's also still listed in their on-line catalog. Hopefully if you're persistent, they'll get one for you.

Just tried again...my NAPA guys are not very helpful. AND he says that part I'm giving him no longer shows up in his system. What's weird about that is it showed up for me this morning, and is no longer showing up now...oh well.

I hate a bad parts guy! I should say "lazy parts guy"

Finished the quarterpanels last night...

I can see why it took my buddy so long, that is a ton of grinding. Turned out good though, smooth and straight.

In line with the soda-blasting place now to take it down to bare metal everywhere. Little nervous because I know under all the bondo on the passenger floor plan there is gonna be serious rust.

New CCOT panels fit great, heavier ga than OEM.

Its coming along nicely!!

I saw you posted in the classifieds you were wanting to sell your 06 and get an older 100. May I ask why??

No compelling reason really. I just move in/out of vehicles a lot. Thinking about really building it out and I hate to do that to an '06...

Definitely sticking with LCs though, hooked.

Not to derail this thread, but hit up Fountainhead. He has been looking for an 06-07

Thanks, and I might do that soon.

I want to get the 90k done first, and it needs new rotors in the back. And I still may not sell it if I can get my 40 running sooner rather than later. Just bouncing the idea around right now.

I see. Nothing wrong with that.

Closed my browser, tried again, and it showed up. Ordered it direct from their site. Hopefully it will ship...$65.13

Did NAPA come through for you?

what color did you decide on for the body....or did you?

nice...can't wait to see it

Best color! :-)

Back at it again today, but not a whole lot to do. Fuel pump and water pump didn't show up, so all I was able to bolt back on was the water housing with the new OEM thermostat installed. 3 new gaskets, all new bolts, and some RTV, nothing to it.

Sanded the housing down and painted it before install, turned out good.

The oil filter bracket, alternator bracket and valve cover are all at the Powder Coater, will be getting them back next week, along with all the parts I have on order.

Next weekend should be able to get the fuel pump installed, water pump installed, oil bracket on, filter mounted, and oil changed. Dizzy should be back in about 10 days. if all goes well, i plan on cranking her up 2 weeks from today!

Have to deal with the carb this week too. It's a Weber that Rob included with the sale.

Very clean, looks to be in good shape. I'm going to have a mechanic I trust look at it this week, and at a minimum soak it.

I know you guys have thoughts on the weber? Best to stay with it or try to source all the original air handler parts along with an OEM carb?

Finally, spent the better part of an hour today trying to get the old oil filter pedestal gasket removed from the block (#4 in below pic).

That thing is literally fused to the block...tried soaking it, sraping it, beating it with a screwdriver, nothing. I know i have to get that off so that the new gasket will bond. I guess I'm gonna take the dremel over there sometime this week and try that.
