Looking great!

Hey nolen you can rebuild mine

I would want a non-running, rolling truck with a good body and frame. Cheap, cheap.

I like Smurf Blue as well. Jason's truck always looks great.

I am def starting to dig the smurf blue...maybe do this color, but in more of a satin/matte finish?

nice! and that blue one is FINE

I agree, that blue is really good looking.

But I really like the black wheel look, and am leaning toward an OEM color that works with the black steel wheel / chrome hubcab combo...

Burnt orange is my favorite color if I were doing a resto.

I'm afraid my obsession with LSU will prohibit that color selection! Plus I really want to stick with an oem color true to the year model.

OK, Sat/Sun will be my first time putting a suspension on.

From my reading, the springs mount on the axles with the long side facing outward...which is towards the ends of the frame (the shackle end). Correct?

Also, since there will be stretches of time where i'm working by myself, I'm planning on mounting the springs to the axles first, then mounting to the frame so that i can easily maneuver everything. Is this smart?

ANY other tips/gotchas that you guys know about would be appreciated!

Those OME shackles go a certain way, make sure you do that right. Many get that wrong.

Most Cruiser springs are left/right. Make sure you get that right or it will lean.

I would put the springs on then slide/roll the axles under there.

Have a come-a-long handy so you can pull the springs together to get them in the axle perches. It will make sense when you get there.

Yes, generally easier to hang springs then roll axle under the springs and bolt up.

Wait... are these spring over or under? If over, see above. If under, I'd mount the fixed side of the spring (non-shackle) then roll axles over the springs.

Thanks, I'm searching all over trying to find a pic of the proper install (mine are the tri-shackles), but no luck so far. You know of a specific thread?

These definitely aren't marked that way. I've been told to put the ones with the '+' marking on them on the drivers side?

Cool.
