Hi all.

This is my 1992 Toyota Std Cab 4x4. Manual hubs. 5 sp. W-56. 2.4L. DX model. Power nothing. 180k.

The only non factory items on the truck are:

1- radio
2- soft top camper top
3- trailer hitch
4- timing chain/crank and cam sprocket
5- tranny (at 165k the original W56 lost its 5th gear. Replaced with another W56 from a 1993 loaner)
6- rear diff rebuilt at 165k

I purchased this truck from the original owner at 156k. She had used it to go to work and back at a local factory. Every evening it went back into a garage.

This truck fit the memory in my mind of the 1986 Toyota Std cab 4x4 that my friend owned when were 16. We would take that truck to Big South almost every weekend for trail riding and camping. We only used different tires and never got stuck. It took it to places that serve as some of the greatest memories in my mind. I can still hear that 2.4/4wd Low wine going through logging and horse trails.

Anyway, when I saw this truck for sale, I had to have it. I never plan on selling it-I hope my daughter or son will enjoy it.

I consistently get 21-22 mpg and I always smile when I see the truck in my driveway.

I have never seen a cleaner example of this year. I am sure they are out there.

Very nice...and with a 22RE!. I would also keep it more or less forever. You don't wax it more than once or twice a month do you?

Thanks man.

To be honest, I have waxed it twice since I have owned it. The last time, I used a gift certificate from a high end car wash-got a buff/wax. People thought I was crazy to use it on my truck. What can I say? I love this truck.

dig the rig.

this model truck but in extended cab was what i was originally was shopping for when i sold my 60 series ended up with a fine 1st gen '87 4runner.

i agree very capable trucks. the ifs is much more capable than most give them credit for.

excellent example.

Nice rig.
I've got one sorta like it. '95 SR5 extra cab. Maybe i will post some pics of mine since i am new to the site.

I really had no idea what the cab looked like clean, looks amazing! Outside is great too, really like the top up there.

Here are the pics of my truck. It is so cool to be a part of a forum where people love Toyotas as much as me.

Hey juke, can you get me a pic of where the soft top and cab connect?

They do not connect i.e. there is no access to the bed from the cab.

The rear of the bed (rear rails) have velcro on the inside and then the outside, rear bed rail is overlapped by a large flap.

It is completely water tight. I just do not use the piece that closes up the tailgate section.

Does that answer your question?
