I found this when I was searching to just understand the basic requirements for an onboard air set up. Thought it might be helpful. I used this search. You may find something more useful or specific to your application.

You might also consider a PUMA with a set of jumpers on it. I think I wired mine up for less than $10. I know, its not fancy, doesn't require a lot of thinking, custom brackets, custom power source, etc. However, its damn nice just to pull it out of the vehicle, clip it to the battery, then run the air hose back to your tires or use it blow out dirt from wherever. The best part is I can move it from vehicle to vehicle or loan it to somebody else who's across camp, or otherwise not right next to me. I will say finding the right sized box to package it in has been difficult, so for now it just gets thrown behind the rear seats. But so far thats the only drawback i've found.

And I am copying this (athletically fit) ;) guy once again.

Agreed. Pros and Cons. So I [will be] running both. I have a set of the MV50 style pumps, tied together with quick fittings and jumpers. I can move it around for others on the trail, but I am tired of the noise, hassle of getting them out and now as tire get larger the time it takes. However, I am always impressed with the lil MV50's, I picked them up when they were -discontinued- I thought at Schucks for $25 each.
I also have a 4 tire setup that would work much better with OBA. All good, just not sure about the unloader valve I needed. Thanks all.

Let me know if you come up with a cool storage solution for it, maybe I will copy you ;)

@Bax454 The $230 for a PUMA was a bit hard to stomach at first, until I actually had it in hand and got to play with it. Its very well built, surprisingly quiet, and you would have to get up to the $500 plus range to find anything that comes close performance wise. Its easily worth the money and peace of mind having a good quality, fast, air compressor.

@half k cruiser , I am going to make slide out boxes in the back, and it will fit in there sideways. Oilless, so I don't see an issue.

Ditch the AC and use it for the air compressor. That's what I did 15 years ago. Haven't regretted it.

The Nippondenso AC compressor is a kick-ass air compressor. Faster than any gas station fill up. Faster than any electric. And it fits perfectly...And you already own it.

Come on kids, it's a supercharger joke...... the York sits the same place where the supercharger would go.

Once you go York, you never go back.

Nope! Had a #10 York in my Piggy for about 15 years and loved it. Now with an 80 series I definitely prefer the Puma, even if I did not have a SC, I would stick with the Puma. John

I was thinking of mounting a compressor in my unused spare tire area, do you guys think a MV50 would stand up to being exposed to those conditions? I'm in Colorado so everything from mud to snow will apply.
