Need some advice, idea's, inputs.

Only month ago, my car has 2 new cv's installed and new wheel bearings.
Every time I steer to the right, it makes that clicking noise on the front right.
Just came back from the CV specialist and he test drove my car.
He said it sound like cv joint, but it should also make that sound when steering to the left. What it doesn't.

I am planning to have the suspension checked as the car has had a hard life under my ownership. Booking made for 21st September.
What could make that noise if it isn't the CV?
Something in the front diff?
I am running an E-locker in the front.
Could that make that noise?

I had the same problem last year. but my clicking was only at certain speeds, slow turns, and acceleration from a stop. it ended up being a failing CV. Where did the new CV's come from?

Full wheel lock and then you hear the click?

You have steering stoppers on the lower control arm that can sometimes bind up at full lock.

Either way I'd bring it back to whoever installed the CVs, or to Toyota and then bring the bill to the guy's who installed your CVs if the problem is related.

I bought them online on advice from my mechanic.

Not even on full lock, steering a bit to the right and throttle it starts.

Found out that both the steering stopper bolts were missing.
I ordered three of them, one spare and tried to get them in.
I managed to got one side in, but the other side will not go. The thread is a little damaged. So I going to need a M14 x 1.5 tap and clean up the thread.
Now I know why my turning circle was so much better than all the Patrols in our club. :)
This Thursday I have a suspension check booked, hopefully they cantell me where the noise is coming from.

This is a longshot, but on another vehicle I have a rotational clicking while turning was caused by the brake dust shield barely touching the rotor. There is always some play in the wheel bearings such that the loading during a turn can trivially move the two into each other. Easy to fix.

I had a look at that as well and bend it back a little as it was very close to the wheel/rotor.
The problem is that is sounds like clicking of the CV but they are brand new.

Also but i think but not sure that the sound was there before the CVs broke.
But I am not 100% sure.

Mines was a worn out bushing at the end link check your end link. While I was there I saw my wheel bearing needing replacement too smh

When changing the broken shafts, all bearings have been replaced.

Which end link do you mean? And was it clicking?

Yeah it was clicking the front ones they were able to move around. My left side didnt do it but the right side did

Ok, that's the sway bar

Came back from the suspension shop.
Our weekend away is off.

The left ball joint is dangerously worn and the noise is coming from the transfer case.
They had it on the hoist, spun the wheels and it came from the middle of the car.
The mechanic turned the shaft, don't know which one, and felt it engaging, then slipping, engaging, slipping etc.
Is that a new t-case?

He asked if I had driven the car for a long distance with the CDL engaged, which I had as I didn't have any drive with the front shafts broken.

Did you change your flange hubs after your CVs broke?

Also, are you 100% certain they examined/replaced the needle bearings (I doubt this is something a shop would inspect without you telling them to specifically. They are different than the "wheel bearings".)

I'm skeptical about it being a tcase issue but suppose it could be. Check the drain plug for metal flakes?

Needle bearing are replaced at the same time as the wheel bearings and cv

Have you tried engaging the CDL and driving with it engaged to see if that makes the noise worse? Or go away?
