Christo is the first one to mention what i think is the biggest thing a company has to deal with... "insurance and liability"... That is the one single thing that stopped me from starting a business building bumpers and other stuff for cruisers and mini trucks in the late 90s....

In the Land Cruiser market the biggest problem is volume. There isn't enough Cruiser owners to buy a product in the numbers it would take to produce a part
as cheap as comparable items for a Jeep. The only exclusively 80 series off road
accessories truly mass produced are ARB and Kamar products. Everyone else is
building a semi custom product of less than ideal jigs and temporary set ups
designed to build 4 or 5 units at a time. The result is 25, 50 or even 100% more labor per unit than a run of 25 or 50. Cristo was being nice. Sit down with a calculator and add up the cost of doing business. In the USA a shop rate below 100 per hour won't pay for much of a shop and realistically few shops that do fab work can actually bill out a full day each day

!!!!! I REFUSE to pay the stupid high prices for sliders
. I hope Phil comes thru on this & all the other guys have to lower their prices
!
