The good news is the prototypes are done for both the 100 & 80 series.:clap:The material and hardware vendors are in place. The bad news is we had a manufacturer lined up and just about to start production but were not 100% comfortable and pulled it from him. We have a new guy but we started him on the Swaybar quick disconnects first. After the first of the year we hope to get started on the rock rails. Sorry for the delay.

I will start a new thread once we they are ready to ship.

:santa:

is there/was there a thread that shows what these will look like, how they attach, etc?

Lmao!!! You just posted in the thread you are asking about!! Haha!!! RTMFT!!!!

I'll pay $500 shipped just to show you I am not a cheap leech.

Hey, I'll pay the remaining $100.00. Ship two sets to beno, and I'll drive down to Macon and pick it up. Deal?! :D

came late to the thread, and paged quickly through the comments. But if these attach to the pinch weld, seems like an ideal application for those with a body lift.

Wonder if there is a way to weld in a frame brace after-the-fact?

Not to steal anyone's thunder, but it cost me 120 dollars in steal to make mine. I don't understand why land cruiser sliders have to be 800 dollars, if buy Phil's or get marlins for 300 bucks

Who are the "jackwagons" and why should they come down in price?

Your logic on getting stuff for cheap is way off.

Can someone explain how they are installed? It looks like you'd have to attach using some sort of sheet metal screw into the body. The worry I'd have is if you ever decided to remove these you might be left with a bunch of holes depending. If they use existing holes that'd be ideal. I definitely like the form factor and pricing as I'm not a hardcore wheeler.

All the companies that are charging $800+ for sliders and because now someone is going to be offering them for the price they should be.

We shall see. :grinpimp: I'm just wanting to get stuff @ a fair price, not ripped off because it's unreasonably overpriced.

You are new thus have no concept of how long it has taken us (80 series owners) to get to a point where you can complain about the supposed problems you are having with the price of bolt on components.

Folks like Slee, 4x4Labs, Metaltech, etc. have spent **years** developing, testing, and putting into production products that are used worldwide on Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series trucks.

Just because you have a problem paying for something that has an intrinsic as well as extrinsic value doesn't give you any right to call important contributors to our community "jack wagons."

It's disrespectful of the hard work many have done long before you came and bought an 80 for $3000 and expect everything to be cheap and made in China like it is with the Jeep world.

It is attitudes like your's that contribute nothing to this community that is built off of 100% contributions by very smart people usually for nothing in return.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with him. I've built sliders, it isn't rocket science and the 80 isn't anything special to make them for. You can get high quality, made in America, rock sliders for all manner of vehicles for much less money. Land Cruiser owners seem to think that if they pay more, they must be getting a higher quality product. This is often the case, but not always.
