For those of you that didn't make it to the last club meeting, here are some photos of my new truck. Details:

'99
90K miles
Always Garaged
Lived in Phoenix 1 year and Tucson 9 years
Rear Diff Lock
Rear A/C

Proper OEM wheels will be here Tuesday and then I'll get some decent tires on it. Until then, Danise can use the chromed wheels to put her makeup on.

After taking care of all the PM stuff, the next task will be getting rid of the ugly gold emblems. Maybe I could sell them on EBAY.

Landpimp removed, sanded, and painted his emblems black. They came out very nice.

good thing you got the words "Landcruiser" on the floor mats into the shot, cuz otherwise....

Yeah, but did you see the oil/grease spots on them. I guess that nulifies(sp?) it from being a 100% mall cruiser.

Marc,

Why don't you just give your new Hundy to me along with about $25K and I'll fix it right up for you :D?! Let's get that thing dialed for exploring...comfort style!:)

Nice looking find! It's a super find and a very clean looking rig.

After having seen the truck in person, I can vouch it's a very nice rig. Low miles too (90K, if I remember). Congratulations Marc, Danise & family - you'll enjoy that for many years to come.

Purty truck! I agree on the wheels; stock would look much better.

When I got my first Cruiser (used '91 FJ80) I got tons of grief - not a "real" LC because it wasn't leaf sprung, too luxurious, etc. Now these new-fangled ones make that one seem manly! :)

New Tires and Wheels

Got the new wheels and tires mounted today. Photos didn't come out too good because it's overcast but they still look better than the bling.

Now if I could just get those running boards off it. Unfortunately my short wife and kids would probably protest. Guess I need to build some sliders! (No comments Ali)

Looks good Marc. What tire did you go with?

BFG AT, 285/75R16 - Load Range D

They do look better. That is a fine looking ride. How's it working out now that you've had it a bit?

It's an amazing truck. Very comfortable to drive. Tons of power. We packed it full of camping gear and spent a night at Manzano State Park with the Cub Scouts last weekend and it performed well. The only problem was that as soon as I got home I had to vaccuum it and wipe the mud off the seats. In the old 60 I would have just brushed off the seat and shaken out the floor mat. I've got several PM items to do to make me feel better: Diff & Tcase oil, Trans fluid flush, coolant flush, TBelt and associated hardware replacement, brake rotors and pads...... Hopefully I can get it all done over the next couple of months.
