Wow Vern. Unreal.

Seats look great, as does the paint and everything else. This is going to be a heck of a truck when you are all done. I'm looking forward to seeing it with the bezel on the grille.

Toshi: You are a mess. :D

Rear wheel well supports

When i redid the tub i cut off the bottom half of the supports but left the top half on so i knew where to mount the roll bars. I bought the supports from CCOT when i was down in Texas last month and i have primed and painted them. I also have removed all rusty pieces and cleaned ,primed and painted the inner fender wells and when i am finished i will give it a shot of undercoat.

Finished the undercoating and then installed supports. I also cleaned and painted drums with high heat caliper paint. Painted and installed rear bumperettes from Toshi? Seapotato? via rigpig.

those look better on your truck than they did in my driveway in a tote half full of water....

I was going to put them on old Mootard, but after watching the dogs get in and out I decided not to...kindof a savage dog leg trap those things.

The weather has been so nice lately i want to get it out now. My list for completion is getting shorter.
install seats and belts and floormats
install glass and wiper system in windshield
front bezel(upside down to piss people off)
front bumper
front brakes
I will drive it without top til i get around to working on it.
I saw a Heep owner the other day driving around with his doors off and roof on. He looked stupid with his ipod earplug things in drinking a latte and pretending to be cool.

Truckis coming along very nicely:cheers::cheers:

Do I detect a note of envy though...:hillbilly:

The next thing on my list was mats ,seats and belts so i spent some time searching out, finding and cleaning mats then installing and they dont quite fit. Everything is off slightly and cargo mat is too big and no hole for handbrake WTF. Turns out it was a set from the 55 that we parted out years ago so after another search i come up with the right ones and cleaning begins again. My other f/u was when i installed the belts i click the l/f in and it wont release turns out something had fallen inside and jammed the release mechanism so i will try to fish that out today.

The culprit was a penny jammed inside, this makes a grand total of $4.73 i have found inside ,around and under this vehicle. I might even break even on this resto.

Two more things off my list. I painted and installed the front bezel and bumper and while i had the pewter paint out i redid the side mirrors.

Thats your old one, i pounded the s*** out of it to straighten it and remove all the dents and it turned out pretty good. With all the racket i was making the neighbor thought i was running a blacksmith shop. Did you use the one i swapped with you or did you make up a new one.

My old glass had some ugly chips in it so i had some tinted glass cut to size and the :princess: and i with help from my daughter installed it without breaking it. Now to get it installed on the cowl without chipping paint.

I reused the original but put about 2 hours into it cleaning out old sealer and rust spots from rusted frame.

That looks super good! I can't believe how fast you are making progress on this. You're motivating me to get back to work on my LJ.
