Over the last month i have done lot of little things that involved sanding and painting.First i took everything off that could be removed like battery mounts, horns, brackets, mounts aircleaner, rad and rad supports, valve cover and undercarrage shields.Because this wasn't a frame off this gave me access to the front 1/3 of frame to sand and paint.

Working on the frame and undercarrage now. Removed all shields and vac cannister and water separator etc to wire wheel frame and crossmembers. I sprayed a Valspar anti rust paint on frame and on any new metal that was welded to tub got paint and undercoat.
Question- what does that vac cannister on frame beside water separator do,i know it works cuz when i disconnected hoses i got a hissing sound(see silver tank in pic)

Correct basic vacume reservoir

Yeesh vern.

This thing gets any nicer cam's gonna start whining at you to sell it to him...

Btw, coming to vic today, I'll bring the bumperettes, I'll leave them at dans for you. Least they'll be on the right side of the hump ...

There might be some truth to that.

Seeing how this is might be Cam's future rig i have to up the ante now. I finished up the rear of the frame, had to remove the exhaust to get right inside and wire wheel and brush. I did the rear axle and springs as well. This had to be the dirtiest job i have done so far,all you could see were the whites of my eyes.I installed a set of almost new shocks i took off the 40 when i put on the lift springs and then installed the running boards.

Lets talk about beer

All this dusty work makes one a bit thirsty. Isn't it amazing how good that first beer goes down after a hard day of sucking up rust dust and paint fumes. Speaking of beer i had one at 11.58am the other day and i was thinking that if i couldn't wait 2 minutes till noon does this mean i am an alcoholic? Now that Toshi is off the island i wouldn't have anyone to go to the AA meetings with. Maybe that clock was out and it really was noon.
