Looks AWESOME. You are in the right place. First thing to invest in is a book(s) so you can work on it when needed. Factory ones are the best one to get. You can likely find a free download of the correct wiring diagram here somewhere.
Older diesel design I guessing so you might want to consider some additive to the fuel to make up for the ultra low sulfur they sell now. There is a diesel section here somewhere.
There are some really good vendors here too, but it pays to shop around and ask first.

So. Pros and cons of putting the axle under the springs?
I like em spring under, but there's lots of info on mud about pros and cons.

Cruisers came from the factory with just hub flanges/drive flange. Locking hubs were dealer/owner add on. Probably never put on in Central America. Less wear and tear on front axel, and maybe better gas milage with locking hubs.
