$600 CAD is my first quote...I might shop around a bit.

I'm also considering painting it myself, but I'm not sure if its worth my time/materials.

Good call. I'm down in Austin, Texas so no real salt/snow issues here but the time to paint it is an issue
550 for front and rear bumpers... Sandblasted and primered.

300 if I just wanted powder coat. Again, this is for both front and rear.

I could probably pay 50-100 less if I go with a different place for the sandblast + primer + powder coat quote (I've gotten some other phone quotes), but the place I'm using was BY FAR the best communicator of any shops... and they have a Mud connection, so its the smart decision IMO.

Got a chance to pull the trailer on the new bumper. Did just fine.

Got my bumper in. My mind blew up when I spread out all the parts and pieces. Haha. Some of the parts I could guess where they go but probably 50%+ of it I had no idea what it was for. Ugh. Just for powdercoat I'm at 34 parts. I don't know how its not going to be north of $500. We'll see today.

Davin can you please post a bunch of pics when you install your rear bumper. I’m sure that will help out a lot of people.

Will do my best. I have recruited @ikarus to help me install it and he's a master at this photo stuff so I'm sure we'll get some. Ben told me via email that he'd also have some rough instructions this weekend so that would be immensely helpful as well.

Considering doing the unthinkable (unforgivable), selling/trading the Dissent rear bumper:

There are a few local cruiser guys that I have bugged WAY too much about considering selling but seems like the right move due to costs associated with getting it coated and buying accessories needed to get it where I want it.

I had some sticker shock when I priced out powder coating. I decided that, this being an off-road bumper and aluminum, it'd be more practical to just prime and paint for low cost and easy touch ups when they inevitably become necessary.

I guess I should clear some things up on the gift. We are including the the aluminum riser along with the aluminum table as an upgrade to all orders that went over the estimated lead time. We shipped about 15 bumpers out so far and will hopefully be shipping out another 5-10 next week.
I have put together some instructions that should help tremendously here Dissent off-road no cut rear bumper installation instructions
This is a brand new bumper so if there are any questions with installation or issues please contact us directly for the best and quickest support. Unfortunately due to how busy we have been the forum time has been limited and we can only gaurentee a quick response if you contact us directly.
Thanks!
Ben.

There are definitely a lot of pieces.
What did you get quoted?

Ben is there a hi-lift mount on the new rear bumper? I know another guy that already had his delivered was curious as well. And if there is a mount, is there a specific hi-lift jack model that fits (I remember on the old bumpers some guys said you need a specific size jack for it to fit).

Also, are there certain parts that should not get powder coated?

For PC I think it was in the $600-700 range for both.
For both that’s not horrible. I pay $350 for a dual swing rear and about $200 on the front.
We are actually setting up to hopefully be coating in house soon. Still not sure if we can find a great way to ship coated though, also not sure if we would have the time without hiring a full time coater.

There is, I’m not sure it’s the best mounting solution yet as we have not really had a chance to test it yet. It should fit any high lift though. We may be redesigning it in the future. It does work nicely on the right side tire carrier but hangs a little low on the left.
