My parts store alternator just but the dust today, after hanging in there for quite a while with an annoying whine and getting PS fluid dripped on it slowly. While I’m in there fixing both issues, I’m looking at prices for rebuilt DENSO and similar alternators and seeing that NAPA has a line of “new build” alternators (not rebuilt, but brand new).
Any sense in this over other options? I have been consistently sticking with OEM for everything, but alternators aren’t really possible to do that with. If prices were the same for a rebuilt denso vs the “new” NAPA version, which one are you buying?
