That looks like a beauty of a body. Does it really have as little rust as the pics suggest?

The pic above.... looks like your weatherstrip is actually on the wrong side, so you need to swap left-right. The flappy bit should be on the outside of the tub, to stop the water coming up from the rear wheel. There should then be another L shaped flat rubber on the bolt-hole part of the tub.

Nice ride!!!

I was impressed by the shape of the body it had no rust at all and the frame was really good. you are right on the weatherstrip, I already fix my mistake, good eye

I want to do the rhino liner or line x but all the places that I call the want $700 just to do the inside. I want to do the inside and under of the fj40 but 700 just for the inside is to much. what do you guys think is that a fair price?

Good call on ditching the flames. I would suggest doing the same with the V8 unless it's a UZJ (or VDJ which I highly doubt) engine.

Thanks, definitely the V8 is out, I'm going back to the strait 6 and a 5 speed transmission. the motor is out of a 96 Land cruiser the 1FZ-FE motor and the transmission is on the way from Venezuela is a H151 5 speed

Everything looks great. Hope you were joking about the front bumper - they all look freakin ridiculous.

sorry - who am I to say which ridiculous bumper you get to drive around with :)

HI guys,

a lot of time and work has being done, motor, trany and transfer are on place but not completed, I had to put a body lift in order to clear the trany and transfer and also having some problem with the brake buster, the stock fj40 is to big, I took the one out of the 80 but is still little to big, also I'm considering to lower the motor about an inch.
Pics are coming!!!!

Are those blocks the motor mounts are connected to going to stay, or just mock-up? I see all kinds of weird stresses there.

How much drive shaft are you going to have? Seems like trouble.

Yes the block are just for mock-up as well as the ones doing the body lift. tomorrow I will make the ones going to stay for good.

on the drive shaft, the space is very limited but I'm planning on doing a 4 link rear suspension and moving the rear axle back couple of inches :hillbilly:
