I removed the battery box to access the adjustment screw on the steering box finally. Tightened up the excess steering slop I was having, feels much better. Also finally got around to fixing my horn. I haven’t had one the last couple years since I bought the truck. It’s not something I use often but when you need it you need it. The factory horns were in rough shape and the wiring was all cut so I didn’t really know what was going on. I managed to stuff some aftermarket horns in the factory location by modifying the brackets. New horn has a small compressor and is much louder but not obnoxious. Managed to make it work with the steering wheel and spliced into the stock wiring. Had to do the .22 casing trick with some dielectric grease for the contact ring behind the wheel. Happy to have a horn now. Also just finished the bulk of an exciting project for my dad’s truck. Helped him install a magnuson supercharger on his 1st gen Tacoma with the 3.4 5vz fe. We did bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump and a smaller pulley. We still have to wait for tunable ecu and his new radiator. Planning on doing a 4x4 conversion on his prerunner for him too.

Got to take my dad out to Sanora to camp and test out the canoe/ do some fishing. Gave the old girl fresh gear oil in the diffs and transfer case. Had to use a dremmel to get a socket on the drain plug of the front diff. Got chewed up on a rock at some point. Finally got around to putting a new sock filter, gasket and hose and clamps on the fuel pump. Also had to replace my white mirrors with some junkyard black ones. Was trying to bump it up an obstacle and slid into a tree. Preferred the white ones but the blacks not too bad.
