1. I need lights to light up on the switch when i turn my headlights on.
2. I want a master switch to turn off all my lights at once when the on-off switches are on the on position.

please help....i have ordered the contura actuators but i need to order the switch bodies.

You don't need a special switch for this. It's just a matter of how you wire it. Use standard 5 pin automotive relays off of each switch. Wire the master switch as ground on one side. From the master switch run wires to pin 86 of each relay. Run battery + to the input of each individual light switch. Run the output of each switch separately to pin 85 of each relay. This will cause each light to only work when both the master switch is on and the individual light switch is on.

Each relay will also still need to be wired with a battery + to pin 30. Pin 87 will be connected directly to positive of each light.

so what model carling switch did you use? what part numbers if you have one

thanks,

Wire all of your added light switch grounds through the master switch.

Still working on this switch panel, I've narrowed it down to the Air Pressure Gauge and at least 8 switches for Compressor, CB/HAM, Roof Lights (Front, Rear, Left, Right), Rear USB/Accessory Ports and Refrigerator/Freezer.

Plan A - I'm not sure I have the real estate yet but I'm looking at the snap together Carling bezels to try and fit 8. I may put an accessory outlet on the end if I can get it to fit.

Plan B - Round rockers with a strip of laser engraved aluminum stuck on the dash with double stick tape to label the switch functions. A buddy of mine has an engraving business. This would allow me to get 12-16 switches in the same physical space as 6 Carling switches.

Working on the rear relays to feed these whilst I mull it about.

I finally managed to get mine in and wired up. Need to run other 50% of the wires from the truck for lights, etc. still. Turned out very nice! The colors in the pics are much more Christmas like than in person. Looks very sleek and I have to point the console out to many people, they just don't notice it because it blends in so nicely.

I fabed up my own switch panel too, used carling switches. the 'power' switch on the right is the master power switch for the whole panel.

That's a nice setup there, those Carling switches are slick.

they cost a pretty penny too! I was getting tired of having cheap non labeled mismatched switches.

i think it was $300 in switch gear.

Yeah, that's the other reason I went with the $3 switches. I'm going to just use a P-Touch label for now and a small LED light strip under the cig-lighter to illuminate them. The labels are really for other folks. I know what's what.

anyone know if the dude from the OP is still making these?

He's a part time fabricator, does this in his spare time. Very talented man. You need to visit him with your center console and he can make one that matches your console. Each one is a one-off. Takes him about 3 hours of labor if I recall correctly, check with him for current effort/cost.

Nice from all of you...working on doing all my switching. Need to find out which wire you all tapped in to for the accessory lighting?? Thanks!!

I'm running a bank of relays, tapped into the cig lighter for my keyed 12v which triggers another relay to activate switches and sources off key only. Everything else is relayed off 12v hot all the time.

I tapped in to the switch power from one of the upper switches and now the accessory lights on my new switch turn on the go right off...
