My dream is to finally come true on July 4th weekend!

Just a thing I've noticed. This forum is so much more adult, kind and respectful than other car forums such as civic forums.

Do you also play w/ Civics? I have a '94 Si w/ B18C1 power that is an absolute blast. As fun as my Pig is, the Civic is a wonderful machine to have parked in the garage next to Ms. Javelina...

I have a 2008 FA5 (Civic Si Sedan) with full bolt ons. It's lots of fun, but I don't like 4x4ing in it... Lol

I'm located in Wichita KS, the fj is in Yucca Valley area.

I haven't seen the fj up close but I'm hoping the indicators are fender mounted. If not, I may modify it for those. I kinda like the look of the fender mounted indicators

I think '69 would have running lights in the grille, and turn signal indicators that come out of the side bibs (under the hood) vs. being fender mount. Those would be very rare. You would prob be $ ahead by not modifying, but trading your fender/bibs for fender/bib assemblies that have the fender mount turn signals.

No, but everything our Cruisers can do off road, our Civics do on road. I love always having my foot in it and then knocking down 33 MPG every time I hit the pump...

One comment on the 69... if the blinkers are in the grill, you are going to be in a world of hurt. They are unique to FJ55s. Nobody makes repro lenses or the lens gaskets :(

One day I would love to invalidate that statement. Still working on it...

I have it on good authority that molds for the 69 Grill light blinkers is in the works

Any options that you know of for forced induction on a B18 stuffed in a EG chassis? I do not wish to delete AC or PS just to be blown...

Its a popular swap so there are kits available. However, I am a fan of customer setups. You can tailor more to your build rather than building to the kit. It also allows more freedom with placement of different parts. Youre able to put things more or less where you want them which can open up a whole range of possiblities. Also, not sure if you are aware, but Hybrid Racing is a huge proponent of honda motor swaps. ANd they are based out of Louisiana so thats nice

I would love to know more about this. If you have a few good links, or a useful forum w/ good info, could you shoot me a PM/Conversation? I don't want to abuse your thread anymore than I already have!

So even tho this will need to be trailer'd back and prolly wont be running for a bit, think its still worth looking into?

Yes, it sounds like a great story! Original owner of a vintage Pig dies and you are going to buy it, transport it across country and put it back together? Heck yeah! The Trails is a great magazine that is trying to get back on track. They will only publish exclusive content, so do not post any pics here that you would like to see in the magazine. I held off on posting my Pig build here until they published my story in the Trails. I worked with the old Managing Editor (Todd), but now there is a new Managing Editor - Stan of Rising Sun: http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/member.php?u=2095
We have to represent the Pigs, or else there will be no classic Cruiser content in the Trails.
Thanks for thinking about it!

I've got 1100 words down of the story leading to the pickup/road trip. I'm saving the rest till I make the trip and get pics

'69 is one of the many years where there were changes during the model year. My May 1969 has the rectangle fender mounted lights that are only turn signal lights. The grill lights are running lights and light up only on the first click of the light switch. When the headlights are on the grill lights are off.
I believe that the earlier ,69 fender lights are round
