A mid progress update - I've beView attachment 1369618 View attachment 1369619 View attachment 1369620 View attachment 1369621 View attachment 1369622 en traveling too much but hoping to finish off most of the mods around the holidays....

Found a set of the TRD 18's local and jumped on them and had the shop test fit a 305/70/18 Cooper ST maxx as a friend has them on his 4runner and I liked how they rode and look....... and luckily they fit ! the front will require just a 5mm Spacer to be comfortable wheelin' and airing down..... but there's about half a finger now.... very smooth riding and a bit quieter then the Toyo Rt's surprisingly.....one in the rear didn't balance out that well so they're pulling in another to replace it.
rig looks awesome!!! I'm running 285/70 R18's and they are just clearing the KDSS arm, are your tires rubbing the KDSS arm?

I've got the Tundra arms so I think that's the difference...... there is rubbing but with 5mm+ spacer and some wheel well liner and fender cutting I think we'll have full travel.....

dropped her at the shop this morning for the hood vents so only got 15 miles or so on..... very impressed with the feel of the Coopers, it did help to set the CDC on the icons to a firmer setting I think... more weight and such - 7 seems really good.

hope to have the rig back in morning to start the rest of the build.... Prinsu, Winch, lights, Intake, and then the headers and exhaust next week along with the Dorkel......

So had a quick trip to Dallas but the shop was able to fit the hood vents..... these are ARP's carbon fiber universla set - very similar to the current Mustangs...... they did an amazing job and I'm very happy with the result. hoping this will pull some of the heat out of the hood, epsecially once I get the charger on... I did something simialr on my RS6 and it and the meth injection was crucial to reducing under temps heat soak ...

loving the new rims and sneaker as well - but having a set of 10mm hubcentric spacers made.... jus

Looks GREAT! I'd love to see how those vents look from under the open hood.

Only thing I wonder about is that it looks like you have just about zero space between the bumper and fender. Really need room there for flex, even for bumpy roads--not to mention minor impact. Even a slight flex could leave you with a costly fender repair... Can you move the bumper out a bit?

@ markuson - agree the shop closed the gap too tight but it's coming off tonight to get the winch in there and run wiring etc... so will widen that gap up for sure.

I'll get some pics of the underside later on

shipping your front rotors out on tuesday - rears will follow wed - for weight they have to be indiv. boxes anyhow.

Happy holidays

Looks great - I also found my self humming the Star Wars theme when looking at these pics. Hood vents look great!

Finally got the TRD intake sorted out combined with the Snorkel - the 14'-16' Intake and lower section are what you need.....thanks @beno for making that happen so quickly ! luckily a work colleague has a 13' tundra and wanted the other one....
liking the extra growl and a bit more throttle feel but it's certainly not a mod to do for HP.....

The Prinsu rack is really nicely built and worth the wait time ( figure 10 weeks) - and the clearance is just a half inch more then OEM it seems.

didn't get time to wire the winch and light bar but hope to this week....

I did get a chance to get her muddier then I wanted - a friend called Sat afternoon and asked for help as he'd high centered his Heep on a log .... extracting him convinced me I need lockers !

the 2014 + TRD intake fits, BUT you have to also buy the matching lower part..... @beno can hook you up as usual !

Lovely!!!

Looks great! Nice job

Minor tweak but visually one I'd wanted for a long time..... I HATE chrome so the side strips had to go...... I was torn on removing the whole strips as Carl at Just diffs did but was able to get my local TintWorld shop to wrap them with satin 3M...... 30 minutes and $90 later I'm much happier..... I does lend to the starwars theme that a few have noted......
