thanks @LouisianaRubicon - I'm just impatient and have few other vices so...... I'm over in Nola farily often if you're ever up for a beer ?

Can't wait to get the exhaust done...... after a few hundred miles I'm liking the intake more and it is tangible in an increase in reaction time, but I suspect the HP isn't changed materially......

but the headers and Exhaust will really give her some "soul" ..... hoping to hit a tone that's a cross between the Roush Raptors and a G55.....but no droning...

cheers -

E

Always up for it. I lost your number and email. I'll PM you.

Finally got the front lights wired up and added the tundra hooks that I had Pc'ed red....

not impressed with rigids and they're an unelegant solution with the angled mount surround, but they're effective foglights for now..... I may ttry to retro the Labrak or Slee mounts in and PC the whole front bumper....

the Hella's are bright and a nice "tone" - and I wired the parking light bulb they have in along with the Rigids.

Need to get the Baja design 40" bar mounted and wired up tonight for the trip to NC.....

't say enough good things about how well the Spod switch panel fits into the LC sunglass case - and how easy it makes wiring lights.... well worth the $$ IMHO.

Looks good - be mindful of those tundra hooks bottom loop and your approach angle when wheeling around rock. I'd cut that bottom loop off your recovery tundra hooks as its purpose is to act as a tie down when shipping - its a snag waiting to happen.

yep - I noted that lack of clearance and likely will swap them out for the ARB hooks once they become avail unless I find another option...... for Texas stuff they're fin but they'll have to get changed before Moab or Breck

I'm not happy about how Cruiserheads is handling the ARB hook issue.

They show it as "Out of Stock" on their web site: ARB Recovery Point Land Cruiser 200 Series

But, if you want to pay US$10.00 more, and almost US$30 shipping, they'll sell one to you on their ebay store: ARB Recovery Points - Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series (2007-ON) | eBay

What's going on here?

They're selling like hotcakes - only one left:

Keep your factory ones (LC or Tundra) and use the $100 for a nice bottle of spirits.

oh NOW you tell me, sadly already ordered those....... haha - we'll see if they ship.

there is another ARB option that is more like the Tundra ones that hasn't made it over here yet - but they're

Agree - I'd seen those and passed.... solid looking, but worse then the tundra hooks for clearance, at a good chunk of $

Here are the ARB's after install (pre-scrapes ;)

Here you can see that rather than downward, they stick forward a bit.
(angle of photo makes them look un-even...but just an angle thing)
And WOW these things are stout.

If you installed them yourself, was it pretty easy or did you need help?

Recovery points are just bolted on.

-Remove stock recovery bolts...
-Wrench in the supplied bolts...

Done.

It's a super quick mod.

PS... Just in case you mean the skids... Slee did those when I was at their shop.

Mine shipped Saturday...... will be waiting once I get the truck back from Kooks........ just hitting New Orleans on my way there(NC).....have a quick meeting then hoping to hammer to Atlanta to crash - then knock the rest out in the morning .....

damn this truck eats up road nicely...

So I knocked out 980 miles Monday - heading up the rest of the ways from Spartansburg to Kooks this morning...... very impressed with how the Cooper tires run after really getting a chance to drive them hard.... very predictable and seemingly a bit bit less "crisp" over small cracks then the TG2's and other AT's I've run.... mileage was miserable - 11.2 MPG with a avg speed of 76.2...

side note - the fine LA police gave me a piece of paper that states that my indicated 72mph is actually 85........ time to investigage a speedo correction option - anyone know of such a thing for the 200 ?? I cruised right by the cop with my radar going off thinking I was fine but then the blue lights rolled........

hitting hills really highlighted what Carl at JT had advised...... 35's require gears...... so will be moving that up the lsit along with ARB's F & R and look to do the charger in a bit......

My calcs say that for your LT305/70-18 tires your indicated 72mph should have been an actual 77mph - certainly nowhere near the 85mph LAPD cited you for.

HTH

Edit to add: A great way to check actual speed after changing tire size is to use an outboard GPS unit which will show accurately your actual speed.
