Guess I need the Japanese 1970 schematic... ;)

The only place Green/Blue is used here in the US is on the turn signal/Hazard switch. Maybe those are turn signal/Hazard bulbs?

Do you have a Japanese wiring diagram for this truck?

No...:crybaby: and at some point PO change the fuse block ,leaving the oem in Japanese writing for good memories ajajaja

So when its time for all electric wiring and if you can notice on the picture, most of the wires out the fuse block are black... so i will have to follow each one ,then hunt for oem colors.... i know that you have oem harness :hhmm:

Remember that you ask for the orange lights at the bumper< then i guess the small bulb was rusted and they added the other for easy fix instead of proper job..or they found the problem here in USA and can't found the correct replacement..im just guessing

Hmmm the fuse block you have is the same as a US spec fuse block for my 71. Is there anything inside that black fuse box? If there is post up a pic of it. :D

I do indeed have all the parts you would need to fix up your harness. When you get to that stage contact me and we will get you set up.

I notice that the air line from the ignition vac enter to the thermostat housing ,then out to the carb..school me on that...:hhmm:

Paint a few things...mirror, step etc,,does the fan blade isn't standard like the USA models ? the radiator its 4 rows ...remember this engine its F 130

Thanks and i will keep it like that...classic look, my other fj40 76 its the camping rig.. so i will never hack the RHD..even will stay 4 drum brakes ,later factory green paint...thanks for reading

Unusual fuse box. Strange that it was hard wired in. It also has 8 fuses instead of the 6 the US fuse box has. Looks like 4 were wired always hot. I see no sign that it melted or anything, wonder why it was replaced? Probably cause wires leading to it melted or were cut....

Your parts are looking great, keep the pics coming. Especially any wiring pics! :grinpimp:

isn't there also green/blue on the wipers and the heater blower motor ? I seem to recall something from 5 years ago.....

Not on the late 60's early 70's. There is a LR (Blue/Red stripe) wire in both those circuits though... ;)

Blower vent

I was lurking on pictures of the blower vents using the search help.... then notice that my 40 just have 1 for the blower on passenger side and nothing on the driver side....its another ´´ RARE´´options ??..or someone has saw this before

Congratulations on this purchase, I tried to buy it the first time the guy had it for sale, but he did not come down to what I was willing to pay, then when he was willing to sell it in my price range my budget had disappeared. This is a cool truck. Have fun with it. I still have not gotten very far on the 1980 one I got from you, but looking forward to doing it this fall I hope, but kids school etc keep getting in the way. But seeing it in my garage still brings me great joy, like I am sure this one will for you.

Thanks CJ...next time you plan to be in Oviedo let me know,to see if I can go down there

When I sold my FJ60 i was looking for the FJ80...not too much interest on any project, i saw the ad,spend 2 hours in the PO house talking and checking this RHD that i only was thinking on the PTO for my 76..came back to the house and im not decided yet to buy it..short history...just made the call and get it ajjaja.
But its a keeper this RHD..thanks

As far as the blower motor vent it's how earlier FJs were, believe it started in 68 and ended in '74? My '63 doesn't have any blower vents so Toyota kinda went in numerical order with how they did the vents.

Got a very good deal for all brake cylinder's,shoes and repair kit of Ebay, paint the oem rims from the fj55 :D

Eshu- A real diamond you have there. I love that rear ladder- might have to copy that myself. Does it seem pretty sturdy with some weight on it? Also what tire/size did you put on the front rim there? Keep up the good work!

Pete

Thanks Pete..the ladder its sturdy ,have plates inside, very nice :D

The tire on the pass side its the Dunlop Snow Cruiser H78-15 that came with the rims out a FJ55 1974. But when its time to choose new tires maybe im going 700-15 military type or something close to OEM, not going on any type of modification on this 40 ,all classic factory look.
Those are the tires that i have in mind at this moment. showing pictures below

Sweet! What size/make is that on the soft top there in the bottom pic? I was looking at some 7.00 r16 here- b I'll probably go with a 235/85 r16 since I have the family in the car as well.
