Got a couple emails from David at All Car Carpets last night. He's busy fighting fires all around the area.

Did find that they also carry wheel well covers in vinyl and all the other varieties of carpeting.

My floor has already been shipped, so it shouldn't take long to arrive.

What was the final price for all the pieces and S/H?

Thanks!

447 AUD for the front+passenger area, shipped. The AUD has been crashing against the USD so that currently works out to 295 USD.

Correction: the ebay notification I got said 404AUD, which is 268USD at current rates.

Mine turned up! But, I didn't receive the underlay. Still waiting on my RAAMmat too...

Got a couple pics. It is very much like an FJ40 oem vinyl floor in thickness. Great stuff. It will be a while before I get it installed but it looks like it will be a good fit.

I will probably just use some generic mat for the cargo area. I have a sleeping platform/storage thing setup so I don't really use the floor.

front is to the right on 1st pic-

Esh - cool! thx for the pics. Does the DS have the heel protector too or just PS (damn aussies)?

did you get any underlay? it looks like bare vinyl - second pic is bottom up right?

Do they offer a rear storage area piece?

Can't wait to see it installed and how it goes.

GL!

Rob- yeah even though they wrote up notes for LHD, the heel thing is on the passenger side. Not too concerned as i use thick mats from Costco.

No underlay because I'm going to use the RAAMmat foam. I think it is sold separately on their site in different forms.

2nd pic shows the top side of the rear part (and the FJ40 mat on it) and a little bit of the front (with bottom side up on it).

Yes, you can get a cargo area mat from them as well. They also match the four 60 series colors- grey, brown, blue, black though I don't know how well the colors match.

Rang All Car Carpets to let them know they didn't send any underlay. Got an apology and was told it would be sent ASAP, which it was. Just went out to fit it - my Sunday job....... Wrong underlay. So frustrating. Hopefully I can get the correct underlay before Friday as I am supposed to be going away in the 60 for the weekend. For you US guys I recommed that you get them to double check your order before sending..........

I ordered mine and haven't heard anything... When you ordered yours Esh you said they asked for all sorts of measurements right? hmm... don't like getting the wrong kind...

how's the install going esh?!

rob

Here's what I did for mine, picked up some rubber at a place called Econo-sales here in Oregon. I got a long enough roll to do the cargo, back of rear seat and the middle seat. It cost $160 and I think it looks pretty slick. It's simply the same rubber that they use for restaurant mats. Check out stores that sell fabric in bulk. Still trying to figure out how to do the front with all of the curves.:steer:

that looks nice Cruiser62!

Esh - i h8 you too. Good luck with that project (very jealous)!

Did anyone get contacted by these guys when ordering for measurements? I've ordered, but haven't heard a peep...

For you US guys I have serious doubts.....

I ordered my vinyl and underlay at the beginning of February. It took a couple of weeks to get here, but I didn't receive the underlay. I called them up and they apologised and about two weeks later I received the underlay. When I opened it up it was the wrong underlay. I called them up, got an apology and they said the correct underlay would be sent straight away. That was about 3 weeks ago. I called them up again and was told they forgot to send it and it had now been sent - this was the start of last week and I still don't have it.

In all fairness this business is where the devastating bush fires took place recently and the guy on the phone said he had been out fighting the fires and the orders got backed up. I'm understanding, but I have also waited around 8 weeks and I still don't have it all. I patiently wait.......

Cruiser62, would a heat gun on low setting and a bunch of time/patience/strategically placed weights/rocks/clamps/etc. let you stretch/mold the rubber flooring and then let it cool into shape? Looks great!

I have no updates. Probably a month away from doing the floor.. and since I didn't need anything under the flooring I didn't have a problem with the Aussie company.. using RAAMmat Ensolite foam underneath.

i am still looking forward to seeing esh's installed.

I did order a full set including the rear and wheel arch covers... but it looks like it will be a slow process. they emailed me last week requesting measurement of the back of the front seat bracket height. I guess there are two heights, so they need that. Sent Friday and no response yet... I'm not in a huge hurry anyway, so i'll let you know when it shows up. I didn't order any underlay either since i'm using SS damplifier as well.

I wonder where that rear seat bracket height thing comes in?

I just figured it was either an FJ60/FJ62 difference, or even that early-85 vs 86-90 thing. My '89 measured about 3-3/4" bolt head to bolt head or about 4" at the bolt holes.

Here's what they sent to get measurements on:
Rob,

I need to know the height of the rear of the front seat mount rails, so where the seats are bolted to the floor, on the rear mount the height of that, as there is two different heights.

So of course i took pics... Let me see if i can find and attach/link.

Here's the response to All Car Carpets:
David,

I think i understand this correctly - attached (if they come through) are pics. Looks like the back of the front mount is just a bit over 4 inches (4.25-4.5) or 108'ish mm. Sorry for the delay getting this to you. Does this show the correct spot i am to measure?

Rob

and the pic i sent to show (just in case i didn't understand correctly).

Hope that helps anyone else who orders these from them. Also i got an ETA of 10-14 days after it ships (scheduled for Mon 3/30). So i might have these mid April! I'm in no hurry - damplifier needs to be complete before i can install them anyway.
