That being said, as far as dealerships go, they are very pleasant and responsive, no games. Still paying a dealer premium… I was able to negotiate them to just under $77k from their initial list of $79k. They take up to $3k on a credit card.

Preparing to sue a Texas OEM-affiliated dealer who wanted to be cute with me. Said they would only hold the vehicle if I consented to a credit check (despite the fact that I already had financing lined up). I relented and, sure enough, the car sold to someone else after I told them I'll still be using my own financing.

Must buy alert. It’s rough body and steering wheel wise. But it’s priced to go today
Raised the price to 67k. Think they would honor the original price? Bummed I didn't see your post till they were closed.

They knew it was too cheap. They’d take the $62.5K for sure. Owner was embarrassed he was to cheap. lol. It is scratched up and the steering wheel was bad

Love to hear that! Thanks for the intel.
ask for Clay the salesman. he'll know me, and Conrad the used car manager. Tell them you know the body has about 8 scratches, 2 very bad, a little filler on the front fender passenger side and the steering wheel is beat to hell. you'll pay the $62,500 with fees but not their new price. ha.

Just gave them a call - one of them will call me back when available. Thanks again!

I now feel dumb for passing on a 90k mileage 2020 HE priced at 73k because the back seat had a tear and there wasn’t much maintenance history at a caddy dealership. Original owner probably traded it in for an Escalade. I just want a nice one.

I wouldn’t beat yourself up over it. It’s hard to recommend a 200 at the prices we’ve been seeing over the last few months. You made the right move holding on to your money.

Yep. It is how the say goes - a fool and his money part ways easily (or something like that). Lot of those at BAT these days. It is entertaining to watch.

I agree 73k for 90k miles is not some amazing deal. I would want far fewer miles for over $70k. That said, I do not think some massive correction for low mileage LCs is coming. Maybe you can pick one off just below NADA from an uninformed person if you have the patience but they will not be flooding the market given limited supply.

HEs on BAT are a different story. I think the likely outcome is they all end up in people's hands who will not sell and scarcity increases given that and as others get driven. I can't imagine there are more than a few hundred HEs with super low miles in existence if even that many. Hence the imbalance.

Truly I just want a 2020 or 2021 base model that’s been well maintained with less than 50k miles. I got time, the hunt is half the fun.
Wouldn’t mind overpaying for the right truck but yeah that one wasn’t the one for me. If I can sneak up on a HE that’ll just be gravy but I don’t see that happening. A neighbor has a 20 HE and I told them if they ever want to sell it to holler at me and they laughed at me lol.

That was my goal as well and I jumped when I found a good one locally.

Unfortunately I think to meet those criteria you basically need to be prepared to pay 2021 MSRP for the truck.

I might pull the trigger today on a 2019 LX today, 60k miles. I didn’t realize the 2 row never came with the ML system or cool box, but hopefully I won’t miss either feature over a third row that I will never use and will just get in the way?

Pull it. Pros and cons to each, don’t sweat it.
Yep… the proximity to me and other conditions (perfect dealer maintenance history etc) are enough for me to pick it over traveling farther for a 3 row with the extra bells and whistles. Worst case scenario I can upgrade the speakers later I guess.

I should have just bought a 200 back when I got my 460 🤣 part of me knew it wouldn’t scratch the itch my 100 did, but I’m really excited to get back in a real LC again. Just need to make sure it fits in the garage…

So I have a 2 row...

- 3rd row - i do not care. i won't ever use it and i am glad i don't have to store it somewhere.
- cool box - i do not care. one less AC thing to worry about.

- ML - i have regrets about not getting it. the 9 speaker base system is a POS. it's just not very good. the low end/low-mids sounds like a cardboard box. I was getting used to it and then I recently went and sat in a LX with the ML. bad idea. now I know what I am missing and it's bugging me.

But, it's a beast of a car (especially supercharged) so all smiles there...haha..
Please sit in the car and listen to your favorite music and make sure it's acceptable. I don't know how easy it is to upgrade all the speakers.
